Lomiko Metals – Converting Graphite to Graphene OVERVIEW Lomiko Metals Inc. (TSXV:LMR,OTC:LMRMF,FSE:DH8B) is a Vancouver, British Columbia based exploration company focused on graphite. In January 2012, the company acquired 100 percent interest in the Quatre Milles East Graphite Property and completed a
successful drilling campaign in November 2012. In February 2013, the company announced a strategic alliance with Graphene Labs to work on a process to transform flake graphite from the property to graphene. Lomiko focus is to discover and devleop 100% owned electric minerals which are to be used in new, green and clean technology and create relationships with end users in the technology field. Lomiko plans to create jiont ventures within the new graphene technology field under its strategic allinace with Graphene Laboratories Inc. INVESTMENT HIGHLIGHTS •100% owned graphite property in a good jurisdiction, Quebec •Strategic Alliance Agreement with Graphene Labs and SUNY Research Foundation at Stony Brook University to convert graphite into graphene •Graphene: huge growth market in the next 10 – 15 years Collaboration with Graphene Labs and Stony Brook University on Graphene Super-Capacitor and Next-Generation Battery Applications Lomiko Metals announced a Strategic Alliance Agreement with Graphene Laboratories Inc. (a leading graphene manufacturer) and SUNY Research Foundation at Stony Brook University on May 29, 2013, to investigate novel, energy-focused applications for graphene. Under the Strategic Alliance Agreement, Graphene Labs will process graphite samples from Lomiko’s Quatre Milles property into graphene. The Research Foundation, through Stony Brook University’s Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center (AERTC) and the Center for Advanced Sensor Technology (Sensor CAT), will then examine the most efficient methods of using this graphene for energy storage applications. Graphene's remarkable properties, including its high conductivity, mechanical strength, and high specific surface area, make it an ideal electrode material for electrochemical devices used in clean energy applications. Graphene shows promise for super-capacitors and next-generation Li-ion batteries. Efficient energy storage is a cornerstone for a resilient and reliable energy transmission grid and graphene is a key element of the clean energy system. For all parties involved, the goal of this collaboration is to map commercially viable routes for the fabrication of graphene-based energy storage devices. By participating in these projects, the partners will address the cost of graphene production, as well as how best to integrate the material into commercial energy storage devices. Lomiko Metals is exploring for graphite on its 100% owned Quatre Miles Graphite Property in Quebec. Drill Results show extensive high grade mineralization close to surface, with Carbon Purity Tests Results yielding 94.00% to 100.00%. The Company has also announced a strategic alliance with Graphene Labs and SUNY Research Foundation at Stony Brook University, to work on a process to transform flake graphite from the property to graphene. •Quatre Milles Graphite Property The Quatre Milles Graphite Property is located 175 km northwest of Montreal and 17 km north of the town of Sainte-Véronique. click to zoom Graphicor completed reconnaissance mapping, prospecting, ground geophysics as well as a twenty-six hole diamond drill program totaling 1,625 metres. Graphicor Resources identified several conductive trends in the central portion of the property and at least three, relatively flat lying graphitic beds. Three surface samples were collected and analyzed returning results of 14.16 percent Cgf (graphite), 18.06 percent Cgf and 20.35 percent Cgf. Twenty-three of the initial 26 drill holes intersected graphite concentrations with a highlight of 8.07 per cent Cgf over 28.60 metres in hole Q90-7. The highest individual assay was reported in hole Q90-10, which returned 15.48 percent Cgf over 0.50 metres. Click here for a summary of historical drill results. Lomiko Metals completed drilling on the Quatre Milles East Graphite Property in September 2012 resulting in several long intercepts of flake graphite.
