      Fed Credibility?
The ECB fearing further impact on the dollar and receiving conficting requests from the member nations on inflation vs growth will do nothing. If the dollar and the American stock market plunged post ECB meeting they would be left with perceived resposibility. NO CHANGE

Intercontinental Exchange and the New ICE Age
"I'm sellling ICE wana by some iICE" Give me a break twice you said transparency ICE has no record keeping, no oversight ie no transparency. Lets overseee this exchange limit the margings and limit futures to end product users ONLY. Otherwise nationalize oil like Russia, China, Brazil etc for National security and get the markets and the average Joe out from under the thumb of speulators and oil minipulators. You people are killing the market and killing America for you own greed!

What you fail to mention is the method that was used to compute these inflation figures, do the other countries deduct fuel and food?

      Financial Fears Sweeping the Globe
If your a buy and hold investor this is not like the 2001 fall that was derived on fear. This is all on techical data thats stacked to the roof. Its tough selling and watching 10-15% given back when you thought it was in the bank. The thunder clouds are rolling in you've been warned if you get wet or worse struck my lightening I hope you've got the time horizon to wait this one out!

The Hindenburg Omen: Crash Signal In Play
The problem with dow 10,000 is its 16.5% below dow 12,000 and not comming back any day soon. I heard a hissing noise comming from my tire the other day. I diden't need to see it go flat to know it was going flat. The Fed can keep pumping air into a fleaking economyso long before the hole gets to big or the pump brakes.

      The (Non) Crash of 2008
The bearish fundimentals and the liqidation of 401K's by the advancing boomers pre-retirement are just the start. Include personal and goverment debt, high US and world inflation (dont give me that low inflation crap), dollar devaluation, slowing US and world economic growth all spell a lowerer dow. A crashing dow maybe not, but 10,000 dow probible then long sideways trading. The retailers, autos, banks, housing are all in the dumper and $135 oil does not make for a quick recovery since Mom and Pop are spent out. Wages are flat and employment is on the rise how can anyone in there right mind not think this dosent project for lower markets Unless your talking materials commodities, energies and related alternatives. Oil is the key get oil to $80 we can have a recover otherwise its a long haul out of the hole were in.

Interesting Times at the Short End of the Yield Curve
I agree, under Bernanke's Fed the Bank will take care of the Banks a mere 1/4 pt by years end but a threat of further increases. But 2009 will be a reversal.
