If we have been in a recession for the past year, why has Apple grown 30% during that same period?

Um, you're talking about a company with 32% profit margins and no debt. Can you please stop pretending to understand finance.

Pretty harsh words NEEL, for someone that is simply stating facts mixed with a small dose of subjective thinking. When Zach refers to panic, It would seem he is referring to you. Keep your emotions in check, or find another "hobby".

Cash Position Best for Apple Investor

Rather than sell and lock-in potential losses, the smart strategy for "long-term" AAPL investors is to average down. If I had sold my 4800 shares during the last economic downturn I wouldn't be up $500,000 in my holdings today. I will be adding to my position during the panic and bloodletting. I just love to feed off of the weak minded short-term thinking goons that call themselves investors.
