For example, many companies have already submitted apps to the the App Store that are nothing more than an adverstisment of their product or service. Well, Apple could go one step further and make it so that you don't need to be a programmer to slap a complete ad for your company by just using a template builder.

Using this approach would insure Apple that people going searching on the iPhone App Store and not all over the place by using Google.

Apple may even be able to make an ad section within the App Store. You make it and people will populate it with all sorts of stuff.]]>

Can Apple Stop the Android? http://seekingalpha.com/article/174459-can-apple-stop-the-android?source=feed#comment-771469 771469 Apple's got the hottest brand name in the world. They make the best the computers, mp3 players, smartphone and run the best on-line multi-media store and the best retail stores.

I know lots of people can't stand that. So they need to pit someone against Apple; and that would typically be Microsoft. But Apple's so systematically demoralized the MS folks that they now to find a new foe for which to pit Apple against.

So, who do they choose? A second rate software developer that's been successful only at developing search algorithms and sucks at actually writing everything else.

Hey, Apple's at the top and everybody else is looking up at them much like it's been for the past 30 years- turmoil or no turmoil.

Man up to it.]]>

Could the Dow Sink Another 50% by 2012? http://seekingalpha.com/article/129515-could-the-dow-sink-another-50-by-2012?source=feed#comment-457970 457970
Who are you kidding? Pick your heads up from out of the holes!

There's a 50% chance the DOW will crash this year!

There's a 25% chance the Government, ,yes the US Gov't, will collapse in the next 12 months.

Listen to the news and read the papers. Cities and states are going to start falling like dominos soon. And shortly after that, well you guess.]]>

Apple Netbook Will Fill Newspaper Void http://seekingalpha.com/article/125809-apple-netbook-will-fill-newspaper-void?source=feed#comment-425971 425971 @Ted,

Think about all the trees, fuel and energy it takes to write all those newspaper. Then think all the trees plus energy we'll save by not publishing them. 50 million more trees per year means a hey of a lot of CO2 being absorbed.]]>

The death of the printed newspaper is great thing for the environment- think of the number of trees it would save. The countless pounds of less trash that needs to be hauled around or finds itself in on the streets. If you want to read a newspaper, subscribing to a web edition or buying a Kindle is the way to go. Or if you're a Mac user, find the sight that reports want you want and use Apple's simple and elegant widget maker- talk about getting to the point.

As for Apple getting into the net-book market, I don't think so. The margins will simply not be there. Why make 3 or 5% on a product when you could make 30% or more on others??? Leave that to the Acers of the world.

What would be great, and maybe this would come with iPhone 3.0, would be if you could make a widget on your Mac, as described above, and then incorporate it as your own app onto your iphone. With this approach, apps can go from 25,000 today to millions in a month!!!!]]>

That said, I'd like to see Apple develop a new gaming platform altogether based loosely on the games available from the App Store. This platform will consist of goggle type device using thin LCD technology, being developed right here in NJ, that totally immerses the users in his/her own virutal world. This goggle will use an accelerometer and some type of hand held device to manipulate the gamers experience. It will have WFI built in and allow for multiple user experience via the net. It will be based on Core Audio, Core Animation and scalable to a device such as Apple TV.

Oops- maybe I've said too much. Bye.]]>

This will happen even if the Wall St types, MS & RIM fanboys keep spreading FUD about the iPhone and other Apple products. This week's FUD is about the 3G reception- what a load of crap and stupid journalism by the likes of ABCNews, Wall St Journal, USA Today and TheStreet.COM. Talk about lame reporting.]]>
