Free Internet Radio No Longer Free: Pandora, Sirius XM Now on Equal Ground [View article]
Satellite radio does a completely different thing then pandora. I really don't know why it's alway's mentioned along with Sirius-Xm, equating one with the other.
Someone Is Finally Listening to Sirius XM Shareholders [View article]
If the producers of this "documentary" truly cared about the Sirius-Xm shareholders, why not pass out free copies of this DVD at the upcomming shareholders meeting, next week or give it away free on your website? (and not profit off already destroyed sirius-xm shareholders) I might contribute something to that. I know there must have been production costs, but wouldn't it be worth it, to simply get the word out.
What Good Will the iPhone App Do for Sirius XM? [View article]
I for one don't think the fate of Sirius-Xm rests soley in the hands of Howard Stern. As a longtime satellite radio subscriber I understood the extraordinary potential of this delivery platform for radio, long before Stern. True, Stern adds an imeasurable value to the mix, but the programming would be seriously lacking without the whole package going for it.
Apple's 3.0 Update Is a Sirius Game Changer [View article]
I enjoy Pandora at times, but in no way is it any kind of "substitute" for Sirius-Xm. A nice "add-on" maybe. As to the "programs of a similar nature", this is simply BS... as they really don't compare to the advantages you get with Satellite over the long term. I've tried most of them.
Sirius XM: Media's Fear-Mongering Has Gone on Long Enough [View article]
Doesn't a lot of the confusion rest on the shoulders of the CEO and current management? It seems to me that quite a lot could be cleared up simply by constant communication by the upper level management, with both the press and the shareholders regarding the future and current plans for this company.
Sirius Plays Dangerous Game at Investors' Expense [View article]
Looks like the only hope would be another suiter stepping up or a last minute refinance before BK... but not likely. Very bad for the company if they go into BK. I really don't think they will be able to emerge from that with anywhere near the subscriber base they have now.
Three Reasons for Sirius Aggravation [View article]
I agree with most of your factual and well thought out detailed in regard to satellite radio, but I must take issue with your opinion on the auto "bailout". A bankruptcy of GM would spike the unemployment rate to astronomical levels, and could destroy any hope of saving ourselves from another depression. I agree the big 3 MUST change the way they they do bussiness if they want to be around in the long run, but bankruptcy is not the answer...competition is.
Sirius XM Radio Faces Shareholder Suit [View article]
All I've got to say is... Mel really has to come up with some glowing good news soon, and not just the same old "pie in th sky" incantations of "future" sucess. I mean game changing BIG news. A buyout offer, firm details that the financing has been obtained, etc. There really is no excuse for this kind of silence when there are so many unanswered questions and allegations about the company you are charged with leading.
The Sirius/XM Disaster: The Ashes of the FCC [View article]
The simple fact is we won... the "NAB" propaganda machine lost. The merger is now a reality, and it's a huge step forward for democracy and free speech in this country. We should all look to the future.
Has Jim Cramer Crossed the Line with Sirius XM? [View article]
If any of you have noticed, the "MAD MONEY" show doesn't perform as well in poor economic conditions as well as it did when the economy was sailing along. Many of Cramer's "educated" prognostications simply fall flat these day's, and he has resorted to CEO interviews, and very partisan patronizing or advertising for the benefit of the various companies he favors that moment. I think the public is finally catching on, and it is affecting his shows ratings.
I'm glad to see Mel K. not going hog wild and needlessly spending much needed cash on advertising. People who want full NFL radio coverage already know where to find it. SIRIUS.
