Vertical integration isn't the reason for bad business or bad cars. Obviously, its bad decisions and bad designs by the Big 3. Also, they already outsource many of their parts already. The mfg part is really just assembly. Clearly wages have to come down, but these are the jobs we want to keep. Toyota and Honda have already showed that this is workable in the US. If your model was workable, someone would have already done it.
