    • Convertibles: Collateral Damage of the Shorting Ban [view article]
When companies issues convertibles in order to raise capital, it is usually bad for the small investor. I say good riddance. If the deal is not solid enough to stand alone without being able to short, then I say the idea to support the deal is not good enough and should not be done in the first place. Next. Sep 20 10:02 AM
    • Peak Insanity: SEC Plans to Temporarily Ban Short-Selling [view article]
Chris Cox should have been fired long ago. A little regulation long ago could have avoided the gross manipulations, that not until Goldman and Morgan became "manipulated"... did we see that Cox started enforcing the law on naked shorting. I would have like to seen him delay puttiing on his new found "regulatory hat", and let Goldman sink to the depths they deserve. Sep 19 02:08 PM
    • Merck’s Gardasil: A Risky and Unnecessary Vaccine [view article]
Pamela, don't understand the title of your article, or are you just short Merck and want to jump on the Merck bashing bandwagon. Do you think a parent whose daughter has cervical cancer would say the vaccine is risky and unnecessary? It seems to me, for a vaccine that was tested very safe and 100% effective in a clinical setting , it would be risky not to get the vaccine. Both my daughters received the vaccine, and when it is approved for boys, my son will get it too. I would say, to others, why take the chance with your child's health by not eliminating one type of cancer. In my view, this is both risky and unnecessary. Aug 22 09:18 AM

Tony Kent does not know how to value a biotech. Let's see for Camvia, potential $500M market, and 90% POS starting in 2009. You do the math. It isn't that hard. Not suprising that the tutes have been loading up for quite a while now. Mar 15 10:33 AM

How do you only value Camvia at $5.12 given POS of about 90% and $500M market. Wouldn't this easily be at least a $50 share price, even w/ conservative multiple. It looks like you are giving this a very low POS of about 10% which clearly doesn't make sense. Your numbers just don't make sense. Mar 12 01:21 AM
