My cohorts and I played a drinking game and swigged each time that Erin embarassed a guest or colleague with an insult... needless to say, we were too drunk to trade. The sound effects and flip charts on the left of screen on days when CNBC shows live feed of Ben Bernanke at one hearing or another are even more annoying than Erin herself.
I too am long of ETFC. I too am also a client of ETrade's (and because of the previous stated panic) I am now also a client of Ameritrade and Schwab. Admittedly, I moved money fast and furious when I first heard the word on CNBC (enough said!). Since that time I have placed orders at the other brokers, but I continue to trade with ETrade. Hands down THE best trading platform out there.

I've been riding this tide via CALL options on OIH - it can be quite lucrative. In my view having oil as a proxy for the dollar will prove to be a losing position if the US President ever decides to stop adding to the SPR, or when Shell produces an updated geological survey of Iraq. Unfortunately, neither of these events will be short in coming.

I placed a bet on GCC - the new kid on the block - but I'm holding onto DBA for the ride up. No doubt, the trend is from the lower left to the upper right.
WaMu is still advertising no money down, no/low document mortgages in my area (Bayside, NY). Doesn't leave much hope for those who would've thought they'd have learned by now....
