Heavy Rains Hurting Corn and Soybean Yields, Raising Prices
you are some what right, but I am also right. I am from a farming family that should know a little about what I'm talking about. As a farmer, I and other farmers are sick of comments from people that know nothing about it, and the government try to tell us how to do our job. Another reason for the dust bowl was the lack of wind breaks, such as no tree lines. Our worst enemy is nature its self, and government control freaks.

It figures the government would come up with something like subsidized crop insurance to let ground sit idle, when we hear there are shortages of corn, wheat, etc, and we have to pay more for our food. This is what happened and created the dust bowel, anyone remember that. It rains like mad every SPRING here in the midwest, doesn't anyone know this, and yet we have great crops every year. Last year we had a hot dry summer, and it really hurt the crops. we need the rain now, it will be hot, and dry soon. Its something called summer.

Who Benefits When the Fed Floods the System with Liquidity?
If you think the Fed steals from you now, what do you think will happen if Obama gets in the White House. It will be the begining of the New American Communist Party. Instead of taking 30% of our Stock profit, they might take 50%, and we will be paying 50% to 70% in tax's especially if we get national health care. If this happens, we might as well quit our jobs, and go on welfare, and get food stamps, it would be cheaper. I sure wish Bob Barr had a chance.

I think these bail outs have gone far enough, probably should never have started, but who can say, but its time to stop.

Detroit: The End of an Era
Lets face it, the technology is there, and has been there, for all the big four to use, or have used long ago. How many stories have we heard about a carb that could get 40 to 60 mpg, and the patent was sold to one of the big auto companies, and buried. Why not dig out some of these invention, and dust them off, and use them. Why not install Hydro. boosters? Anyone can buy, or make these at home, and install them, and claim to get 20 to 60% better mpg's. This could have been used years ago, and kept us ahead of the competition. Just like the oil shortages in the 70's, everyone dumped their LTD'S, Caddie's, and big Old's 98's for Subaru's, Nissan's, and Toyota's, and now it is happening again. I guess they didn't learn then, and as then, they have waited until to late to do something about it, and now they are in a panic. Its there, you own it, its needed, use it.

Yes, I am the long term type of person that people like you hate. In long term I mean 6 months maybe, more or less. I have Potash, and hope for it to continue to climb, in which I will continue to hold, and I will not be one of your lemmings, and sell off in a panic. I have a brain, and will continue to use it.
