Barood: We try to remain civil here - not always accomplished. To help in that regard, please avoid pejorative terms, such as "childish", and phrases like "otherwise; shut up and don't show you mathematical ignorance".

Keep in mind the diverse backgrounds present may cause some thoughts that seem ignorant to you. Tolerance and understanding and patience ... and civility in all regards ...

    Thanks.

Iterating: Discussions of the relative safety of Li-* vs. LA* do not belong here any longer. Might be interesting to some, but I can't see continuation is gong to affect investing decisions. Start your own war blog if you want to continue would be my suggestion.

As usual, it deteriorates into inappropriate comments.

New Concentrator with beneficial(?) restructuring ... but first a word from our sponsor ...

Use of pejorative adjectives and phrases MAKES APH's JOB HARDER!

Impugning another's character through not-so-subtle *implied* transitive allegories(?) such as A is bad, B is an A, C used to be part of B, therefore C is bad MAKES APH's JOB HARDER!

Trolls are easy. This sort of stuff from valued participants is not! It requires consideration, which means time and angst!

If for no other reason than consideration for APH's effort, STOP IT! Judging others' behavior ought to be only a very minor part of this job! Apply filters before hitting "Send", or it's equivalent.

APH values our time and energy, and is habitually short of one or the other, and will not freely volunteer them if such continues. Imagine a 900-comment concentrator!

    'Nuff said?

OK. Changes to the header include REMOVED!, which marks stuff that's old enough to reside only in past concentrators, it's hoped. Links removed, but brief descriptions of removed items and links back to # 300 where links exist are provided. The entries will be removed in the next issue or two.

NEW! items have been added - might be some more that deserved inclusion and were overlooked - please post suggestions for them in this concentrator (hoping we can go more than a couple days before the new one gets full up).

Over time, we got sort of spaghetti-like. Items have been grouped with category headers. It's hoped this will both shorten the header and make review of related items easier and more useful.

There's a risk some links were lost or corrupted in the restructuring process. Please post notification here! Thanks.

Again, PLEASE! To avoid "filling up" the new concentrator so quickly, make any suggestion, comments, ... about the effort here.

    TIA (Thanks In Advance)!

Two comments have been deleted as they threatened to deteriorate into personal battles deleterious to our purpose here.

Contrary facts are welcomed and tolerated when due respect is maintained.

This thread is certainly beyond borderline.

FYI: Comments of *several* regular participants have been deleted in the past, including JP, HTL, Mayascribe, ...

Guideline: If you do wish to participate here:
    - What JP does in his articles is his business. Don't drag that stuff here - it' not tolerated well from anybody including him. APH does try to avoid treating folks like children though and this does require some infrequent "laissez faire" in policing these things.

    - Present your "facts", avoid the personal attacks and use of pejorative terms that add nothing to the benefit of the readers.

    - Avoid needless and unproductive repetition of that which has been presented before.

    - APH does not engage in conversations about these things. Deletion may appear arbitrary. APH doesn't care. Color your behavior to suit your priorities and goals in light of this.

Let's hope AXPW has the same ability.

Follow-up to comments that disappeared without explanation, as it turns out.

For comments that APH did not delete and SA did not delete, I have apparently exhausted all resources from SA to find an explanation.

None has been found, based on a reply today from one individual within SA.

I see only three possibilities now, only two of which I will voice here.

A bug in SA software? Seems very unlikely to just affect certain comments, but maybe we just can't see a broad enough set of them?

Another possibility, unlikely I think, is the commenter deleted his own comment through some error?

Going forward if any comments _from_regular_particip... disappear from here *without* a message from APH, please post a comment and/or a PM to APH ASAP so that we can pursue it in a timely manner. Comments from known trolls are silently deleted; from regular contributors we'll *usually* post a comment to that effect. I hedge with "usually" because being human a mistake is always possible.

Also your normal query e-mail to support@seekingalpha.com about the deleted message should be done.

I suspect all this leaves some folks suspecting APH is "protecting" some contributors.

Other than our assurance this is not so, apparently no "proof" is available.

Stuff like this is the distasteful part of this volunteer job.

"... or delete me. I'll get the message, either way"

"I don't mind if you delete me here in your blog, but I hope you don't. I'll get the message either way."

Clarification: This is not JP's blog - it was started by some Axion investors and is maintained by such. He is a valued contributor gracious enough to participate, just as is any other constructive participant.

His comments have been deleted in the past, appropriately or not, when his more irascible side showed itself unduly.

Having said all that, discussions here are to generally center around things related to Axion and its markets, with SHORT forays into other areas welcomed and LONG forays unwelcomed, at least by some.

Solar city, Tesla and Musk are OT but short side-trips tolerated due to apparent general interest here.

Pursuit of these for too long will not be welcomed I think.

A separate blog, which can be started by you and others would be a more appropriate venue in which to pursue the topic, or as JP suggested, in his articles and blogs.

Excellent comment from Silliconhillbilly with a bunch of likes
    -----------------------
What I Like Best about Axion Today

All previous PbC product from Axion needed hundreds of hours of explanation and study by the purchasing company's engineers before they could integrate it into their product. The more the engineer(s) knew about OTHER battery chemistry, the HARDER it was for them to make the mental shift to a Power intensive product like the PbC. Trust me on this, engineers think they understand a device that is "just like the other LA batteries I've dealt with". Except that it isn't. They look at a specification like Wh/kg and frown. Not even as good as regular old LA batteries!

Why should they buy it? Mumble. Lying weasel salesmen.

"One year of cycle testing with special fixtures? Why? It's a LA, AGM battery ferbog's sake."

They WILL make the shift. But if every potential customer goes thru this barrier, Axion management could die of old age before cash flow break even. It's what we have seen for 3+ years now.

Enter the PowerCube. It has a computer controlled energy management system that SHOULD prevent a user from doing significant damage to the 'Cube. Unless, of course, they diddle with the machinery or software. But is should tattle on them if that happens ;-)

The PC is a BLACK BOX. You supply it with energy and then you take energy back out. The buyer/engineer/user does NOT need to understand anything about the PbC vs other battery technologies! Nor should they care!
Peak power; check. Total energy; check.
You cycle it X times at Y kWh/cycle over Z years and the depreciated cost per Whr is C. Oh my! Nice numbers!

It's a system designer's product. Don't drop it or punch a hole in it and it does what it's suppose to. Just read the specs and the Warranty. Connect to power wiring as the attached diagrams show. Let it run its self tests and then call home to Axion to "report in" over the 'net or phone line.

"What's a PbC?" Asks the money guy. Who cares! It stores energy. It's got a good warranty and the PC at Axion is making them money right now. Look at the ROI and sign the papers.

That is why I think the PowerCube will be THE breakthrough product for Axion. The long wait should end this year.

The whole point of attempts to moderate without being tyrannical is to avoid personal wars and keep the concentrators a resource for investors.

Yes, emotions are sometimes expressed and may or may not be "productive". But within APH's limited abilities APH *will* do his best to keep the concentrator on point.

For personal wars, SA offers you the ability to make your own blog.

Thanks to all for your patience through this distraction that ironically we had not seen since last January. I hope it was not so painful to discredit the wonderful nearly 40K comments and counting of this concentrator. We are always working to make the APC's as transparent, informative and useful as possible.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and know that the future of the APC's will only get better!
