Apples And Oranges - Is There Anything Beyond The iPhone/iPad Story? [View article]
I hear this point but I heard this point at $400, $500 (which AAPL flew straight passed), twice at $600 and AAPL went on to hit $700... You may say that this time is different;
On April 8th AAPL peaked at around $635 - $640 depending on which chart you look at. The bears were all over AAPL, negative sentiment was rife and a correction ensued. Just as it is today and the stock took a heavy hit and despite a 10% spike upon releasing blowout earnings by May 16th it had shed $106 (give or take) and had at fallen almost 17%. Following that the stock ran all the way up to $700 representing a 32% return on a perfectly executed trade.
Now how has this been forgotten in not even 7 months? Today AAPL is down about 15% and I don't believe we've hit the bottom yet HOWEVER this is called a correction and is healthy for a stock that runs as far and as quickly as AAPL.
Not mentioned above is the brand new product lineup Apple has primed and in production ready for the holidays and the record breaking earnings that will come as a result.
To summarise; No the sky isn't falling, yes bubbles exist in equities and no APPL isn't done yet. As for your comment on where Apple can go from here;

Very glad to find someone else who actually understood the article! Too right on the moody bulls... The pre-earnings bear trash has got them huffing and pawing the earth at the very glimpse of a bear... Personally I'm more in the mood for "giving your old iPad or iPod to someone you don't know and watch their reaction" after investing most of my savings into Apple stock in October! ;-)

Bloody good read... A calm, collected investor, publishing valuable opinions in a creative way whilst clearly stating his position... I haven't read any of your previous articles but I will definitely be heading back through your archive.

I think you've both missed where he's coming from... There's are thousands of bearish trash articles on SA and this isn't one of them... Re-read the article.
"Something big is about to happen" that involves an Apple (AAPL) product, claims a source. The source adds she's seen a major increase in Apple-related auditing and customs paperwork, and is positive it has nothing to do with MacBooks or iPads. All signs point to the next iPhone not arriving until fall. [View news story]
...I have referenced said abysmal forecasts in my comment above.

Relax buddy, that was profit taking. I invested BIG in October and it is nervewracking but I saw a 70% gain in 6 months on nothing but that one trade... You'd be mad not to take some profits after a run like that so I did as did many others, hence the 12% dip. But hey, Apple smashed it and the stock jumped back 10% overnight because AAPL don't disappoint. They opened up shop in India and China in perfect timing to extend the iPhone 4's life cycle to meet the launch of the 5 later this year AND there's some exciting talk of diversification for the near future.
The bulls are on the money with AAPL (my proof is in my trading account) but you've got to relax, there are so many trashy bearish AAPL articles on SA flogging 'analysis' to any nervy investor that will listen... what is most laughable is that the guys writing this trash don't even have the balls to short the stock!
Swallow your pride buddy, the bulls have taken some profits, stayed long and prevailed; confidence where it was needed most and what today's market needed.
Apple may not reach the 1 trillion dollar market cap and $1001 targets may be over the top, but seriously... Your article was an overly suggestive, clearly manipulative and you were wrong. So much so that another investor instantaneously published an article bursting the bubble of each and every one of your 28 fear inducing, poorly analyzed points. Articles like this are destructive.
Apple has barely got started in one of the today's strongest economies and check the numbers; there's growth to be seen.

Congrats Ken, personally I've been long since $375 (bar one fear induced sale and buy back when Steve Jobs passed) but I was very surprised to see such a blow out. $12/share! Great news.

As glad as I am that you didn't heed you own advice and lose money today (I wouldn't wish a loss on anyone, regardless their position), I maintain my comments before; very much against people publishing articles with as bold/suggestive titles as this whilst holding no position on the stock. It's damaging.

"One thing to note though is that the iPhone 4s was released early January in China, during their Lunar New Year, which is basically Christmas on steroids; this will push up their earnings"
