    With regard to cable products one firm I've seen is Composite Technologies (CPTC) that makes a transmission cable that is much more efficient than the current cabling that loses 10-15% of electricity due to resistance. (as you can see, I'm no physicist.) but the idea makes sense and as those cables are replaced, this is a good substitute. I'm actively looking for others inthis area.
