Allied Capital Goes from Value Trap to Deep Value [View article]
I guess my concern is what will the dividend be post merger. Hopefully they will address that question in the upcoming investor conference which I believe is on the first week of November.
Great analysis! I too am long the common. The concern I have always had is their ability to handle their long term debt. A rather unscientific analysis of their financials seems to indicate that they can simply extend the debt coming due and at worse since it is nonrecourse, give the lenders the keys. What is your take on their ability to deal with upcoming maturities? Thanks
Excellent article! I am also a UVE shareholder. Other things to consider, however, is if I am not mistaken their reinsurance costs went up and the hurricane season will soon be upon us.
Actually, there has been significant insider buying and over the years when FL has a problem they do deal with it eventually. It seems awfully cheap here but with this market, it will probably go lower!
