I have known it for some time after hearing them talk about the Iraq war, Obama, and the recession that started in 2007.
I did disagree with Homer on the forums when it came to the COH and the burn rate compared to the cost of the 1st quarter. I did not think he included that there is revenue that comes in in the 1st quarter and that you really have to look at 2008s 1st quarter cash burn rate for both before you can come up with any numbers like he had. I have been waiting for a reply but have not seen one as of yet.
Sirius Long Hauler, as I have said before someone comes in takes control and takes it private at a way lower price. I know 1 dollar is alot to many that got in at .12 - .5 but that is not great for cos1000, killerkaul, and me who have been here for some time and who know just what a power house the company will be. I dont want a dollar I want much much more. I also know it will get there once this bullshit gets taken care of. I have always said I dont fear a bankruptcy as much as I feared a takeover at a way lower price. I believe if that happens in a few years people that had to sell will be saying, dam I could have made millions if this arse did not take it private.
Sirius Roadkill, I saw your comment on Sirius buzz thread I put out. Dont take it to hard, cos1000 has been beating me with crap like that all the time. I must have just cought him when he was taking his afternoon nap. You know those old folks they need their sleep.
163888- What are your thoughts on an interest in say an aapl, goog, or other interested party buying Siri after the merge?

163888 1137 Comments Killerkaul, If that were even a remote possibility, I believe that it would be better to merge with something like DISH or Directv. The Synergies would be almost a good as the ones between SIRI/XMSR. It is alot less expensive to add capabilities to satellites then to launch a totally seperate one. Capabilities that may already be there. Think about this XMSR said that its two newer satellites can support SIRI spectrum. The work on those satellites was done well before any serious talk of merger between them. On top of that ( I am not even going into the savings on content that there would be), what has Mel always worked with, media. He most likely will stick with what he knows. Plus XMSR already deals with Directv and SIRI already deals with DISH, on content distribution. Now while I do not believe another merger with anyting else would happen. I also do not pretend to be even close to as intelligent as Mel on media/mergers, and I think it is safe to say vary few know what he is thinking when it comes to other mergers. So unless you are close to Mel it is all wide wide wide speculation.
cos1000, I just read a post by homer985 he just said what I said about those Dec. converts being the ones Charles does not hold. I said it first though (the basterd)
cos1000, I believe it is all that was left that Charles did not control. There was a article out that said Mel was tring to get that done so if the Feb. debt was taken out he did not have to deal with Charles going after the remaining Dec debt.
Yes that is correct but as I recall Mel was working on that first to see if he could get it done so if they could get the Feb. debt paid then they would not have to worry about Charles buying the Dec ones.
