Relmar2003, you cant produce if you are laying people off that produce. GDP which does measure the health of a country is directly related to unemployment even though it is a lagging indicator. China has less resourses then we do they cant even feed their own people if they needed to. They have just gone from a heating coal exporter to a heating coal importer. They have been a coal importer when it comes to the kind needed to make steel for a long time.

Now as to Martha S., you brought it up with emotion once again, so I replied, as I just did again. You were wrong on it. Instead of just saying so and letting it drop you keep bringing it up.

relmar2003, as said it was a correction. It was a simple correction that anyone invested in the company should be aware of. As to this country compared to China did you miss the article that said they just had 60 million put out of work. Thats right not 6,000, not 60,000, not 600,000, not 6,000,000, but 60,000,000. If they are not buying US bonds it is because they cant afford to anymore because they have problems of their own. Once again when was it did you ever see this countries dollar lose more then 25% of its value in a day like the English pound just did.

mogami_99, I dont know what the take rate is for ether. I do know that Oprah was paid more then Stern when you consider the time both give each company. Now while Stern was paid more he produces 2 shows compared to one and is on 16 times longer the Oprah is. So while the attention was on Stern, the real bad deal was Oprah. I guess if you only waste 50 million and not 500 million (I dont think it was a waste for what SIRI got) it is more news worthy.

First things first, This link is a perfect example of just how much you can take from the mews you read.

    sports.yahoo.com/olymp...

Now while there is some truth to it, it is nowhere close to being true.

Second, Phillies77 I dont know where you are getting your information but the company now known as SIRIXM/SIRI never went bankrupt before. While they came close they were able to come up with the 1.3 billion in refinancing, they also diluted the hell out of it. You are talking about the 2001 and 2002 financing problems right because that was the only time they came close to it.

I'm not Jim Cramer, You want to know why I cant believe anything I read from these articles. It is because half of what was first reported was already contradicted or changed by the same people that said it in the first place. Second the one comment I read the most which was supposed to be a comment he made to investers that went something like; If we cant raise the 173 million by the due date then we are going to ether file for bankruptcy or take ES offer. Thats funny because the last I remember Mel first said (and was reported with qoute marks) that half of the Feb debt would be taken care of by using financing of some kind and the other half would be taken out using COH if needed. Second, now unless I am mistaken what does he have to raise the cash from, THE BANK ACCOUNT THEY ARE HOLDING THERE CASH ON HAND IN. Now do you see why I get pissed about these articles, you cant believe half of the crap they say.

From what I have read so far, it is the converts he was buying. you do know they have almost as little to say about anything as share hoilders do in bankruptcy. That is after all why it is and was important for them to have the shares to short to protect their investment. Holy crap, does anyone remember the deal that was made with the converts to lend them shares to short to get the loan for the merger to be finalized.

I'm not Jim Cramer, First of all I never told anyone to buy or sell. Second I due believe Mel has a personality that would act this way. That said I dont think he would open himself up to the multitude of law suits that would come because of his personality. Second I am guilty of that, using old information, but first of all the last time I heard any comment from Mel on sales was what he said concerning Black Friday, inwhich he said that while we beat our projections that is not saying much because we did not set them to high. He also said that they were well on track to having double digit subscriber growth for the 4th quarter. Now even if Miller Tybak is right, which means the merger cost ate much of the 4th quarter FCF then that still leaves 360 plus the 60 million as Miller Tybak says it is. Now that 420 came from him he was the only analyst to go from so far. Of course that is not to say he may be wrong to but it is something to go from with as little information we get at this point. FYI you dont have cash burn if you have FCF positive, for the quarter.

    cos1000, I left a reply.

  • Does Ergen Have Enough Leverage to Play Out His Sirius Hand? [View article]
Just to be clear, when I said I would sue, It is not sour grapes. I would not bother if they diluted the shit out of it and used every bit of COH and FCF from the 4th quarter to pay down the debt. Then at least they did everything possible to save the company for the shareholders which are the people they are supposed to be working for. Now from what I understand there is still 173 million left of Feb. debt. That is covered with COH. Then worse case the banks dont want to extend in May use what is left and dilution to take the rest out if possible. Then if they cant get financing in Dec. then they have to that would be fine with me at least they tried. But to file now is not being responcible to the shareholders they are suppose to be looking out for.

killerkaul, Of course I am not selling. I was stuck with this stock the moment it got less then .5, you know a risk/reward thing. I just have to hope that the common share holder doesnt get the total shaft. That a judge convinces banks to be willing to extend the financing.

I will say this, if they file after the vote to dilute and with enough cash on hand to pay the rest of the Feb. converts off. I will sue.

P.S. If they do I can only say sorry to those that got stuck. Just know I got stuck to to the tune of over 140,000 so dont feel to bad.
