Most renters are not interested in mowing lawns and shoveling snow....
I say:
When people have lived in a home, and had it foreclosed on them, they don't want to cram their family into an apartment. It would be really embarrassing AND they want a garage for their nice cars, and a place for their washer/dryer. They DON'T want to get used to a laundromat! If they have a decent, stable job, but poor credit due to the foreclosure, the best thing for them is to find an affordable rental home in the same school district so that their kids can keep their friends and classes. That would provide the least disruption to the family, AND would provide the landlord with much needed income (if the landlord could not sell the house originally.) After a few years, they can try buying a house again, or even purchase the house from the landlord if it works for everyone.
Most would prefer to shovel snow and mow the grass to provide a home rather than an apartment especially if we have older children. ]]>

Market Outlook: Watch Out, the Signs Can Be Deceiving http://seekingalpha.com/article/69549-market-outlook-watch-out-the-signs-can-be-deceiving?source=feed#comment-131008 131008 2. You have to look at WHO is calling the bottom and WHY. Of course, the govt wants you to buy things again, including stocks. They are using "some" journalists to shout their story. And some journalists may be thinking they are "doing it for the greater good".
And they might have 401K's and other long positions they are worried about.

Dryships' Short Squeeze Potential http://seekingalpha.com/article/69657-dryships-short-squeeze-potential?source=feed#comment-131000 131000 You have to be kidding. Show me ONE stock that DIDN'T have volatility late last year...or more recently this year. If a stock DIDN'T move down precipitously several times during the last six months, then that stock surely has it coming soon, watch out!
"Conservative investors" who are they? I've never seen one. If they exist, then I think they may be scared to lose all their money because they've never made much.
VALUE and FUNDAMENTALS is the name of the game today. (No financial exposure and ability to generate growing profits.)
VALUE = Buy when Low P/E and expecting awesome earnings = DRYSHIPS. It will soon be run up as more investors search for value.]]>
