Of interest, it appears as if the P/E ratio is related to rule of law. Corrupt countries demand a higher P/E ratio. Might I suggest normalizing the P/E ratio with a corruption index and an accounting accuracy index.

I'm baffled. Can other commenter add what is the impact for the other Eastern European countries if there are multiple devaluations ?
It certainly doesn't look like devaluation would help the creditors of the Latvian government, but is this likely to lead to destabilization of the Western European central banks ?
