    I asked my teenage daughters who go to an exclusive private school in Redmond, Wa (home of msft) what phones the kids have / want. basically - they feel sorry for the few who are forced by their msft parents to use other than iPhones. the iPhone is considered the pinnacle.

    I'm not an engineer - but I suspect there is a totally different reason than yet outlined. These chips are supposed to have unique security features which is why they are tied to the defense department. What if Apple was to come out with a line of premium priced super secure computers for defense and corporate use? A New niche? ERIC
