Buy, Sell or Hold: Apple's Cohesive Strategy to Survive and Thrive
Once you've gone MAC you will never go back !
I just convinced both my sisters in the last month to purchase new Mac's and they are both very happy. No problems and very fast.
One returned her brand new HP laptop for the more expensive new Macbook. I had expected to do a question and answer period of how to use a MAC and to my surprize neither one had any problems or questions. Neither one had ever used an Apple product previously.
I am adding to my Apple position at these prices.

Opportunity in Emerging Markets Amidst This Panic
There is no place to hide in stock allocation, this is true and when this is over in a few years as it will be as "This too shall pass" I will have bought more as I am doing now with all my broad ETF's including, VTI, VXF, VWO and ADRE.

Prepare to Sell Monday - Cramer's Mad Money (9/19/08)
Cramer is WRONG about as much as he is right.
He is entertainment and nothing more. If you did what he did you may well end up out of $$ and out of all your hold positions.

      Visa: Trading Transparency
Everything Frank said is true...*Also I also follow volume and if volume does not follow the storyline I know something is askew....

Currently I have sold my entire position @ 51% profit and looking to re enter as a demarcation line shows itself to me...Longterm I see cash disappearing and as consumer goods and gas toils upwards I see the use of CC's being used more and more to make ends meet.

with a 51% profit in 2 months on declining volume I thought it prudent to take mine off the table even though long term it looks good.

when it drops again I will consider a re entry position

The Industry Indicator: Buy When the Market Sells
The big financials are not going out of business and there is nothing but bad news around. The Gov't will only allow this to go so far without intervention as we are now seeing. The market always comes back as history has shown and always the same story sounded is " this is different this time". It is never different. I have not sold anything and infact have been buying alot the names in the news, NLY, MBI, CFC, C, BAC, FNM, FRE and ETFC along with widely diversified ETF's. I have been an investor long enough with recollection of financial catastrophies in the past that rebounded back even stronger in a timely fashion that had people saying "If I had only bought then" that keeps me secure in my knowledge. Even a diversified portfolio has not protected any area this time. When the sea rises all boats will also. I am secure in my decision to buy "on sale" companies.
