Prepare to Sell Monday - Cramer's Mad Money (9/19/08)
i'm not saying mr. cramer is right or wrong, but i will say this for him. he ALWAYS says to do YOUR due diligence BEFORE you buy ANY stock. if you're losing $ because YOU failed to do this, don't blame someone else. that's what's wrong with our "democratic" society. everyone's always looking to blame someone else. EVERYONE and EVERYTHING fails at some point. i don't think the gov't should continue to get involved in public companies. the USA is headed right down the path to socialism. have we the american public become that blind? do YOUR research folks, or pay someone to do it for you.

      Wal-Mart's Latest Beat-and-Raise: Yawn
I drive a a F250 Diesel when I have to haul horses, get grain, bedding, hay, etc. (that's the only thing it's used for these days). I went and bought my diesel fuel for less than what most stations have their truck exempt diesel posted at. Yes I did drive 15 miles out of my way, but for $.50/gal, Wal-Mart was THE place to go....

      Greenspan, Please, Retire Already!
After all the people of the U.S. have been through since 9/11, isn't time we quit letting idiots tell us what to do and ruining our lives? WE THE PEOPLE OF AMERICA allow all this crap. WE don't do anything except complain about it. Remember the U.S. was once the greatest country in the world and all others looked to her. We the people need to get a grip, quit complaining and blaming and take back our nation. Government By The People and For the people, NOT anything less. People in "public" positions talk and get paid to talk, because WE the people PAY to hear it and then get upset? Time to quit judging others and work towards getting our country back on track. That will only happen when us "little guys" do our job(s) and quit complaining and DO.

      Options Trader: Friday Outlook
I have to agree with 300mph! As for gov't? The Dem's have been in power in the Congress for how long? They've done nothing to help this situation, but they did feel they deserved a pay raise! Bet the average joe's pay raise would make Congress cry if that's all they received! We need lower taxes, less gov't, and more people that are on the ranks of welfare off their proverbial dead asses and earning some of their own $$ and not living off mine! It's no wonder we have the illegal immigration problems we do, as well as foreigners coming here to take advantage of our superior University's. It's FREE to them and costs the taxpayer. It's hard enough to support a household/family without having to pay MORE taxes so others can live for basically nothing.......... Sorry, the Dem's are NOT the answser.

      Dangerous Optimism in Homebuilders
I'm short on CTX. Reality is writedowns or writeoffs are not done. Problem is, when a bank writes off $$ on a foreclosed home, when the home does finally sell at below market value (inventory turns count in all sectors), they will write up their bottom line with the $$ received. One thing NO ONE seems to be caring about is that even if these people were in over their heads and trying to "live the American dream", they are still people that have lost their homes. I'm sick of the big boys getting all the breaks and not giving two shits about the people that keep them in their "fat and happy" state of euphoria. I personally know of 3 people in 3 different states (Indiana, Mississippi and Wyoming) that have lost jobs they've held for a few years and can't find work and are now in the process of losing their homes. I too will be in that situation if I don't secure work in the near future. Being educated has only meant I'm over qualified and $10/hr won't pay the mortgage. I don't want to see the whole economy crash, but I do want corporate America to learn they're not the "sacred cow" they pretend to be and their CEO's are not worth the billions they're paid.

Fed Pumps More Money Into the Economy
I have to agree with with Gaucho. History has a tendency of repeating itself. The U. S. DID NOT get in this mess overnight, and will not pull out in the next couple of months. So, the FED will do "whatever" it takes in this election year. I've been unemployed for over 4 months now and it's not as if I'm a high school drop-out. I hold 2 BA's and can't find a job that will pay me more than $10/hr. That $600 won't even make 1 mtg. payment. Nice of them to give me some of my $$ back, but they're only going to make me pay taxes on it next year, so what' s the point?

Economic Downturn: How Long, How Deep?
Has anyone ever tracked those that fall from the ranks of the unemployment "files" because benefits have run out? Most states only offer the benefit for a period of time. What happens to those people who are no longer receiving benefits, yet still have not found employment? This slow down didn't just start and those who were let go in 2007 may not be included in the "statistic" because they've lost benefits. I would love for someone to give me an answer on this. I've asked numerous people, and no one can provide me one....?

What Did We Learn from Last Week's Market?
I concur......... Time to call a spade a spade and enough of the "personalities&qu... telling us what's what........ They don't know any more than the rest of us do. Until "we the people" know what's really going on, we're not going to be able to know what we need to do.

Fed Easing: No Free Lunch for Dollar, Oil and Commodities
What a surprise. The Fed or any other government type of bail out and the U.S. working class, those under $100K/yr, take a huge hit. When will we learn that government is suppose to work FOR the people? That's what it was established for! I don't care what political party you're affliated with, let's face it, all those in the "Ivory Towers" are looking out for one thing, themselves.........

      Unemployment Duration: The Historical Record
One thing I don't understand is what happens to the "count" of those people whose unemployment benefits run out? Just because "they" say something about the number of people out of work, doesn't mean they're truely counting all those still looking!
