I just refueled my boat in Mexico with $2.40 a gallon diesel, Pemex oil, the nation's oil. How about nationalizing the oil companies? How about a national TVA? I'm sick of hearing the talking heads on TV telling us how lucky we are that we aren't paying Europe's fuel prices. But they neglect to tell us that a large portion is tax that goes to funding medical care, education, public transport, housing, not ripoff profits for oil companies and their major stockholders. And don't counter this with your lousy 100 shares of Mobile-Exxon, or your pitiful participation some mutual fund.
