The Impending Mortgage Crisis: Part Two
Consumer sentiment has not even come close to being it's worst. Even if house prices level out the consumer is tapped. Wages are not increasing and cost of living is jacking up oh so uncomfortably.

It sounds like they are essentially saying they have no idea what is going to happen and so they are just waiting and seeing before they actually do something.

      Could 1 Euro Equal 2 U.S. Dollars?
Again, it's amazing when people discuss the strength of the dollar and also mention oil prices, but they never make the connection between the two. Once oil stops trading in dollars and the oil producers (as well as china) remove their dollar pegs, all hell will break loose.

I even think there is a distinct possibility the US gov WILL default. Think of it in terms of a home owner who has trouble servicing his loan and the value of his house just dropped below the loan basis. What would it be in the best interests of the borrower to do?

      Walk away.

How Bad Is the Dollar's Fall?
Yes, once again, the dollar is backed by a hard asset: oil. Oil is the main inflation hedge to play.

How much pandering do we have to do to the "experts" who tell us we are fools to think that inflation is through the roof? Inflation is obvious to any average person who has to work and support themselves.

It's Time to Focus on the Value of the Dollar
Iraq is undergoing an economic boom??? Compared to when, 2003? The neo-cons are "neo" because they used to be socialists. They changed their name as the wind changed.

And, incidentally, we are on an oil standard. Oil is priced in dollars (because the US basically supports and protects the majority oil producers), therefore the real basis of the dollar is oil. Petro-dollar anyone?
