  • Why Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Will Soar In Price This Week - Part 2 [View article]
GMCR is fairly priced at today's close. I don't see it doing much more this week. Mid 40's is good for now. Blizzard NEMO will not allow much more appreciation. jm

  • Dan Niles Top 4 Stock Picks For 2013: Facebook Heads The List [View article]
Kirk. I like your article. I also like FNSR and JDSU for 2013 volatility and growth prospects. JDSU nailed the recent ER and should see sustained accumulation to upper teens. jm

  • Tuesday Options Brief: PFE, DFS & TSL [View article]
Why would anyone be taking such a call stake in TSL? The stock is under $5 with few prospects for a major move unless, its all a sign of things to come. This stock loves the $5 level. What is coming to push the stock to at least $6? jm

$TSL calls get bought hard but the stock looks very weak and may see mid 4's. Crazy players. jm

  • Why Netflix Is Outperforming [View article]
Fair assessment on $NFLX for sure but as we all know, the stock is extremely volatile. It is now hard to put a 'value' price on NFLX with $141 showing PM.
Perhaps value will not be what drives this stock up towards $200 temporarily. jm

  • Molycorp Set To Have A Better 2013 [View article]
I did mean fruitful. The MCP story will keep many glued to their screens. Better to wait it all out or risk getting caught in the web.

  • Molycorp Set To Have A Better 2013 [View article]
Jan 2 2013 to Jan 9 2013. How fast the future can change for MCP.

And all of a sudden MCP management has dropped several bombs on the heavily invested money managers who must now make a fruitful decision to either hold their eroding positions or continue to dump the stock as 2013 hurdles just keep getting higher for MCP.

All in all, the move from near $12 to just over $8 is being seen as a great buy opp to some but time will tell how much MCP will fall. In viewing past similar situations, it may be best to hang around the sidelines as this falling knife scenario will take weeks to settle out. Plenty of cash will be made on both sides of the trade for a few days but I suspect the longer term shorts will be sitting pretty in FEB.
MCP churning in the 8's should see $9 for a better short entry very soon. Looking for weakness into low 7's next week but hopefully no lower unless the next news bite shows all the cards. jm

  • 5 Rallies I Wouldn't Buy Into [View article]
NFLX love affair is getting weaker by the day. I love NFLX but not sure the stock loves me. From 101 to 94's with 91 approaching. Just need to let the competition reality set in despite its global interests. jm

  • A Look At Netflix Over The Last 3 Months [View article]
Looks like NFLX will be under selling pressure this week after breaking $100 on Monday. The short game may get the better of it on Wednesday as today's action showed a lack of conviction and news that does not promote a bullish run to follow. NFLX PT of $93 is my target. This is a controversial stock that moves at will. jm

  • Amazon Gobbles Up More Lost Netflix Content [View article]
NFLX may be a great short but you would take your trading life into your own hands. The stock has a history of doing deep damage to the short side of the trade. $110+ is on the table. The stock can move to $130 within weeks. Its a very bullish call and not necessarily associated with recent news. Demand for the stock continues to defy gravity. jm

  • The Gold Bubble: Why It Just Won't Burst [View article]
The thing about bubbles is that we don't usually see them until after the bursting takes place. With gold near $1800 recently, that may have been the best time to get out of gold if we are traders. Gold now sits around $1660 today but seems to be ready to find another short steep cliff.
I don't see gold heading back up hill in any supportive manner for awhile. There has been large dumps of both silver and gold in past five weeks. Why dump? Its due to the realization that these commodities are going to sink in early 2013. Not our realization, that of others who are more visionary than us.

Just my two cents. Gold is not a safe haven right now although it may become one later. jm

  • A High Risk/High Reward Play For Silver In 2013 [View article]
Wonder how deflationary actions will affect the precious metals? We all hope for inflation but there isn't much of it around and it won't be for a while as most commodities begin to fall away. Gold should begin to fall much further in Q1 2013. jm

  • Eric Sprott: I Think We Are In For A Shortage Of Physical Gold [View article]
Many will not embrace more weakness in gold and especially silver but that seems to be the path that we are on. Its a path that has become high risk as some get deeply positioned into something that could undo many accounts in 2013.
I don't know how low silver and gold will fall but I will place some belief that a global unwinding has been taking place for two months and its far from over. That doesn't mean we won't be able to make some cash on the upticks as the next cliff is formed.
Gold supposedly is being bought up in heavy amounts and yet the price is falling weekly. Normal bull catalysts are failing. The game has definitely changed a bit more than we thought. Weakness hits price with 1590 coming our way in coming weeks.

At some point gold's price decline will get clearer. Its a good thing we can't all see the future clearly at the same time. jm
