One last comment about options and then i'll take my leave. Seems to me that the people crying about losing money on trying their hand at options had jumped into it with no research...the same due diligence you'd take with a stock pick is required guys. helloo??!

With any stock market transaction there are risks, the ones with options are larger, but the profit is magnified..if you play it safe you can still make money, not the huge hit..but don't bet with other peoples' money, and only bet what you can afford to lose.
Even being a newbie, and a woman..and having lost money in options, i'm not giving up..and i'm not a crybaby.
Aloha, dudes!

You've got a week for V to run up, which it's more than likely going to do as this pullback was just profit taking by the short sighted flippers.

@ V winner
Welcome back, we missed you!

@ Baghdad soldier
We salute you!

Now, onward and upward to $90!]]>

Visa: Near-Term Fluctuations Present a Buying Opportunity http://seekingalpha.com/article/74830-visa-near-term-fluctuations-present-a-buying-opportunity?source=feed#comment-163911 163911 Because i'm in Hawaii, i always seem to be behind the curve in the time thing, so i hope you don't mind if i left one last option comment.
I started buying call options on V because of V's business model, room for growth, and because I didn't have the capital to buy the actual shares, but wanted to get in quickly. I realized that buying call options basically means paying for the right to buy shares at a certain price by a certain date. I paid $660 each 100 shares for the right to buy the shares of V at $75 in September , no matter what the price of the shares are at that time. For me, it's a buy and hold 'lease' on the shares. So far i've tripled my money, and i'm well on the way to the profit i'll need to exercise the right and thus become a member of the stock owning V community.
Just one wahines' perspective ;->
As for fluctuation, i think alot of people realize what a buy and hold opportunity they've found once they've got the V. Sure, some will cash out ($100) but there's still a WHOLE lot of money on the sidelines and V's got all the right components soar while even the economy muddles along.

V = where the smart money is!]]>

Got into Google at a key reversal and lost half my money..but it was a good trading lesson for not letting emotions move your trades, stick to your research of the companies you invest in. Recently got rid of everything else and bought Sep 75 calls @ 6.60...doubled my money so far, even with the pull back today. Intend to sit on them and not worry about the pull backs..would like to get some input on the strategy contrast of holding versus selling at the highs and re-buying the lows, considering the cost of the trade, spread points that go to the market makers, and the anxiety of attempting to catch the tops and bottoms.
Thank you V winner for the clarity and sharing of knowledge :-)
