It is not good enough to buy cars with little better fuel efficiency. We must go the whole ten yards!! we must demand 35 mpg or better ... CAFE 2009 should be far higher!! This will send a strong message to Big Oil shareholders that it is time to dump Big Oil stock now!! Exxon Mobil is stilcks!l worth $389 billion for what??? It sucks!!

Gasoline prices will still sink even if we add taxes on gasoline because we would be encouraged to conserve gasoline even more.. We should not be as concerned about the stocks.... We will have extra money to spend from the gasoline taxes... The rich cannot write off the taxes.. This is the best tax we can have..

Our govt is still timid about adding taxes on gasoline while it is still low so to make buyers of new SUVs and PickUps think twice!! I am already reading about how we are returning to them ... Do they suffer from Alzheimers' disease or dementia or what?? This is not funny!!

You missed the whole point... We have to conserve energy now!! Using less is good news... We are not doing anything to conserve energy but we are doing it by default that is because of weak economy.. We should have used far less by now if thrown on top with more efforts to conserve energy... It is a big disappointment that oil prices hasnt hit $10 or even $5 a barrel yet... A major disappointment... Big Oil shareholders are still smug and not selling stock at all... We got to show 'em that we mean business with energy conservation... Turn off your thermostats now!

Also, there is no reason to heat/cool your entire 3000-6000 sq ft homes as HVAC technology will evolve into more intelligient delivery meaning that only rooms occupied will be heated or cooled . Often most part of homes are unoccupied by residents and will be reduced in heating and cooling.. What it will mean is that we wont need 2-5 ton AC system or 120,000 BTU gas furnaces... We will be suing much smaller ones that will deliver heat/ cool to wherever residents are in their homes.. The ductworks will be more intelligient with air flow control diverters. Thermostats will be in every room and able to sense presence.

Carmakers will boost CAFE on new cars toward 35 mpg. Europe wll push even higher . The demand on oil will keep falling. This year's small drop can be tracked to so many SUVs and PickUps still in working conditoin and rolling on the road.. Many SUVs and PickUps plants are shuttered for good. There wll be return to sam old ways of guzzling gas. Major oil companies had been enhancing and extending existing depleting oil reserves with horiziontal drilling and other technologies used to gain access even to previously depleted oil reserves . There is talk of depleted oil reserves that are not actually depleted but still contain as much as two thirds left but in need of enhancement technologies that we had been using for past couple decades.. The only problem is tha we cannot pump faster than previously. The oil reserves are still there but slowly accessilbe. This is the reason we must start conserve oil with far more fuel efficient cars that delvier 35 mpg or better.There is still plenty of oiil reserves but it takes more cooking to get done ...

Coal powerplants are not allowed to spew soot and particulates anymore except in China and India ?? It is called flyash and there is a giant vaccum with a giant bag employed to capture the flyash before releasing the emissionis in every coal powerplant in America and others. Yes there is a big vaccuum that suck the coal smoke to capture flyash. Flyash are then mixed with concrete to make it stronger. The Romans used fly ash to mix wiht concrete which is nothing new. What is new is reductions of sulfurs in coal powerplants with the scrubber systems in coal powerplants. The Daddy Bush Adminstration signed the bill to reduce the sulfur emissions in all coal powerplants back in 1990's. We are not hearing about acid rains anymore cuz much of the sulfurs are being controlled now.

Water vapor comes from millions of catalytic converters under automobiles made after 1975 as part of pollution control programs enacted by EPA. This is probably why we are experiencing global climate change as of lately... It was probably not coal it was probably becaouse of catalytic converters in millions if not billions of cars worldwide already. Come to think of how much water vapor are being generated by catalytic converters???? Millions of tons if not billions of tons of water vapor !!!! The Bush Adminstration is gung ho about high energy prices, high steel prices but not high aluminium prices. Aluminium can do a lot to save energy by making automobiles lighter. We are not doing much lately. We are merely rooting for about 50 pounds increase on every automobile on average of aluminium while boosting automobile steel content by hundreds of pounds. We need to build smelters to offset the heavy rusty steel content in automobiles. You hippies environmentalists are clueless, duh?
