Q2 Predictions for eBay Business Segments
      SellersLeavingSellersA...

What listings growth? Listings are down to 13 - 14 million and continue to spiral downward. Ioffer and eCrater combined listings are near to that half count and rapidly increasing!

And that's not even including Etsy.com, whose growth is off the charts!

I was a Powerseller with 100 % feedback who did not linger long enough to let the dsr dissaster catch up to me.

Lack of integrity and ethics is lack of integrity and ethics.

There is no listing growth. No matter how hard it's nattered about.

And the last couple years the Motorola_brand products quality has slipped sharply.

Considering we're basically discussing ebay and minions, this is not surprising. Picking up CEO failures is an ebay signature move!

      Exactly, exactly, exactly!

Once a seller goes elsewhere and gains better sales at less cost and fees, incredibly diminished stress, easier operation, streamlined efficiency, etcetera, etcetera, who in their right mind would continue with ebay?!

And like you, I've taken my purchasing power with me! I now have more TO spend! Haha! And on a further personal note, whether JD stays or goes, I won't return. Ebay has deeply embedded integrity issues.

      So sad, too bad!!!

      eBay P/E Hits New Low
Fraud going down?! More delusional slop! It's become more rampant. Sift through feedback in ANY given category and the negative cremation to sellers is unbelievable. Drivel is spoken regarding protection and fraud provention and NOTHING but seller extermination moves forward. It's a bloodbath over their. What this company is thinking I cannot even imagine but it is absolutely and utterly unscrupulous! In reality it has completely turned seller against buyer and buyer against seller.

EBay will not last. It will not last.

      Regarding Amazon's 'New' PayPal Killer
As stated by Angie above, eBay, in Australia despite the ACCC pending ruling -- and they've clearly warned eBay it goes against their fair competition act -- against the dictate of sellers only using Paypal as payment, eBay evidently has STILL sent Australian sellers notice to comply in July to only accept Paypal as payment or their listings would be cancelled.

I can't see the Australian government rolling over. They don't. Interesting to see how this plays out.

Further, Amazon, securely anchored and well established, would indeed bring serious competition against eBay's Paypal as a payment source. Amazon is all about taking care of business. NOW through network media eBay/Paypal claims to be addressing anit-fraud issues that have been ongoing for a couple years and not seriously addressed. Could the long, dark shadow of a serious contender be responsible?

I left the Bay perminently a couple months back and went over to the River and have been much more satisfied in every respect. At this moment Amazon is eBay's one true competitor. Other sites are growing and WILL and ARE lending weight to wares that are trickier to place. And many sellers in truth will feel more comfortable elsewhere.

As a Paypal competitor though? Amazon would be great!

Blodget Thinks eBay Looks Cheap; We Disagree

ebay's day as the only good game in town are over. Such declarations just don't hold true anymore because they simply are not.

Other selling sites are established - some for several years, so they can't be termed "overnight wonders" - and gaining serious rival ground.

As stated above, one such is Ioffer at almost 4.5 MILLION listings -- and growing rapidly -- can no longer be blown off. And ebay's listings are dwindling with even more alarming rapidity. 13.5 - 4 million. Stand that side by side, and we aren't even adding the "other" sites on hand, and the eBay hayday is over.

Unethical fundamental eBay practices will eventually segue into a mediocre site that's peddling what I can nip over to Walmart and pick up. With a much less hassle return policy.

Ioffer is approaching 4.5 million listings! Growth there is accelerating daily. Compare to eBay's 13.7 to 14 million listings that are as gradually shrinking and it cannot help but give a thinking person pause.

eBay has been putting a positive spin publicly since January 2008 on their implimented changes in an effort of appeasement for the stockmarket and general public, but don't kid yourself, it's a bloodbath over there.

Please read backlog's of previous posts/comments pertaining to eBay/Paypal here at Alpha. And by all means, check other boards.

And yeah, it's really that bad.
