By the way, are these new sellers; retro questionable seller history? Just wondering.

(By the way, in my above comment, I never understood with such feedback history re pirate/bootleg, why people continued to buy from them!!!)

ebay has been turning a blind eye to these various frauds for years. Some of the sellers' feedbacks were a dead giveaway. When there is an average of 5 feedbacks to every feedback page going back to infinity claiming pirate/bootleg (and the individual's own feedback is unblemished), it's a duh moment!

And now they want to improve the buyer experience?

I am not surprised that in some venues the seller fraud is escalating as well.

AND, U.S. listings are now often padded with overseas listings in many (underlined) categories in order to flesh out (LOL) dwindling merchandise numbers. (Like we're too stupid to figure THAT out!)

I haven't bought anything off ebay in 6 months.

P.S. And then there's iOffer's listing count, which is about to hit 4.5 MILLION listings, and ebay (the giant's?) dwindling to 13.5 million. That's SERIOUS competition. Serious.

(We won't even factor in Amazon and all the new sellers coming on board there.)

And the growth of their other entities? ebay doesn't have a clue what ethics is about. Paypal is dishonost, and evidently now Skype is hitting with bogus charges...

Does this company even know what integrity means?

While working online I peeked in on ebay, got to sifting around there and at other sites and threads as well as this one, and the verdect is pretty much the same; eBay has turned into a slaughterhouse of its sellers! Suspended accounts, frozen Paypal accounts, ebay and buyer threats galore, rogue buyers, ransom feedback, non payers, dsr ring-around, and on and on ... it is a nightmare over there!

Are Amazon Outages Cause for Real Concern?
Amazon went down Friday, was problematic Saturday and Sunday, and went down Monday. It's back up, sales back on track but working still spotty. I'm a seller there. For whatever reason, I'm still not concerned. Amazon is a thinking, long-vision giant and fosters a feeling of security for both buyers and sellers alike. Sheer overload? I'm thinking that's it, both in selling and buying. Seeing lots of "just launched" logos. Amazon will get the situation fixed. They invented online efficiency.

BEGGING for some serious investigative reporting. Perhaps all of us "noise" makers should also start pushing for that as well.

P.S. Check the stream Sat has provided above. eBay has become a seller's nightmare. Hideous does come to mind.

Okay, bfan & illovax, with respect, this has been covered so often on Seeking Alpha, it is simply ridiculous to post such foolishness.

      It just ain't gonna fly!

I can't help but wonder, since they padded their listings "back when", how many LIVE BODIES are being paid to show up to eBay Live! It would almost be worth attending to snoop that fact out alone! Great expose' opportunity for the right reporter, eh? Strike up a conversation here, there, and yon, find out if they've an informed "clue" of life with eBay these days. I think a non-seller would crash and burn in about 60 seconds of dialogue!

      What do you think?

I went to Amazon, too, as I've already stated. Been there but not active a few years. Started working it. My sales already outstrip what I was doing on ebay and FAR less hassle, beaurocracy, fees. Interesting to see sooooooooo many "just launched" logos against i.d.'s at Amazon!

      Pssssst. Amazon's established.

PayPal Offers Cash Back to Shift Users From Credit Cards
When transfering money from bank account to Paypal, and from Paypal to bank account, it always.... ALWAYS, took 10 business days. Everytime. And it is so with every single person I know who has ever transfered with Paypal. Unfailingly.

Paypal makes $10,000,000 a QUARTER on floating money. It's hidden in the stock reports.

10 days. No bank or credit card company would ever get away with that.

      Watching the Wheels

Getting post grads in finance, and several other fields, interested in prying into the ebay site, and corporate fundamentals, is brilliant. That WOULD be a gold mine. What rocks they could turn over! Publishing could be spectacular!

Etsy.com, which is a site selling all things handmade with fabulous success and outstrips all the other sites in traffic (check with Alexa), was founded and is maintained by a brilliant group of enterpreneurs, none of which looks to be over 30! My hats off to them!
