      I live in one of those areas where you drive 17 or 15 miles to the "big" city where Wal-Mart located. Until gas hit $4.00 a gallon, it still made sense to make the drive and enjoy the cheaper prices. Now, it doesn't. It makes sense to order off the Internet.....have it delivered to the local hardware store. And, when I shop at Wal-Mart, it doesn't have the same crowds.

      How much of Wal-Mart still consists of these rural "magnets"? While big cities won't be affected by the gas prices as much, it would seem these rural magnets might be.
