Due to the economic situation, Hope , is great, but doesn't pay the bills, reality is being manipulated by goverment intervention, which is fine as long it gets to the bottom, yet what is going on, is not and only getting worse. Telling me things are good doesn't make it so, the economic numbers don't add up and the news can spew happy days are here again. Tell that to record unemployed, tell that to all foreclosed home owners, tell that to my 50% loss in the value of my home and all the under water homeowners, This a new beast and it has a large appetite. The reality of it all doesn't look good and the holidays may sideline things a bit. But if the Market suppose to act earlier the the economy, it's got a way's to go the down side.

Oil , Freds got it right, I'd say, Oil is a dead stick short term, The way to keep it down is alternative energy, There has to be a happy medium between them all and that will make more choice and more affordable, hence, more jobs created. Diversity is key to growth.

Gas is still paid with money from a job that people don't have or are losing, most all working people's wealth depleted or will be soon, housing implosion, utilities raised, food raised, taxes raised on depreciating homes, The only thing it will do is take some pressure of the companies, but it's not enough to create jobs. The most it will do for the consumer is let them buy necessities, they get to move up to Mac & cheese from ramen noodles.So get off the dumbness, Good God people.

I think the damage is done, The consumer was horribly raped at the pump and won't forget it, with everything going up, this savings doesn't even out. we still will be in the red for mere fact all the other things raised are not coming back down. OIL is going DOWN, And would stay down if we drill more and have alternative energy policies put in place. People running to more fuel efficient vehicles will help as well. OPEC and anyone that has had anything to do with OIL has been ripping the consumer off for years. There never has been so many lie's told about oil in the history of the world as in the past 8 yrs .These liars should be all hung. The crookedness of this world makes me ill. I have seen way too many losers for that theory to be a sound principle for investing. Guessing is gambling and somewhere never seems to found or is somewhere else.

A Chance to Sell - Cramer's Stop Trading! (9/2/08)

Saving a average of 7.50 to 15.00 on a fill up isn't exactly going to make people shop at Macy or anywhere else, other then food. People had to cut back , when they have enough for food ,then maybe they would shop for other things, Energy is way to high in all area's, Saving at the pump only gets ate up by other energy companies raising there prices, rates, so there is no saving. One crook gives, the other takes it back.
