I agree with Dave. Honestly, what did Noxema provide PG with on the bottom line? This is a $80 Million sale. In a product portfolio of several thousand items, a tiny little line like this doesn't mean anything. Old Spice and Gilette Razors are stalwarts.

when are people going to realize that a CDS exchange needs to be set up ASAP. this nonsense in this market can not continue to go on. Hedge funds are able to drive the spreads up to any level they want with little money and no proven collateral to cover the potential defaul losses, thereby gaming the system. the average person doesnt even realize that you don't need to post collateral against your positions in the CDS market to show that you can cover your losses. AIG got into this position and it screwed over everyone because they took on positions over $1 Trillion that they never even had to prove they had collateral to cover losses. Hedge funds are able to manipulate the spreads on these contracts and the ratings agencies look at these spreads to determine credit quality of companies. GE is getting crammed down because of this. Those same hedge funds are also taking short/put positions in the equity of the underlying company and therefore profiting on both the credit and equity side. This game absolutely has to stop.

This is a really bad article. There is no explanation of the competitive advantages DOW has on it's competitors, of the declining free cash flow to a level lower than the required future dividends, of important balance sheet metrices like current ratio or debt/equity ratios, and of the fact that no matter what the current book value is the current credit environment won't allow any company like this to sell off its assets at their current book value to justify what seems like a "cheap valuation" based on price to book value measures.

I own a furniture business and every carrier we use that I have talked to is experiencing a significant slowdown.

Rising fuel costs and a weakening customer demand due to a significant slowdown in the U.S. will seriously crimp JBHT's earnings and projections for a rebound will be pushed off until at least 2010. JBHT has a very high debt load relative to cash and assets and currently trades at over 10 times book value and a very high multiple on earnings.

I have to say that this is the worst article I've ever read by any "investment analyst". I'm not invested in MELI but have some respect for yourself.

How about some concrete evidence on why the most recent quarter "totally sucked". How about projecting revenues, earnings, and cash flows out over the next few years and using that to back up your thesis as to why the stock is overvalued.

The argument you make for a "coincidental" similarity between the Gartner chart and the chart of the stock is so ridiculous that if the "totally sucked" line didn't raise some questions to readers as to the validity of you the author, then clearly this would have.

I'd suggest using some stats and research (funny term, research, isn't it?) before posting a self-serving article about MELI (while you don't have a position, are you looking to enter at a lower price?). Have some accountability. Please.
