Dividend Analysis: State Street Corporation [View article]
ryefool - STT is not solely in the business of managing pensions. back office administration for financial companies is a HUGE business and they control this industry.
Earnings and projections should be a disaster for J.B. Hunt. The market and analysts are resting their hopes on the intermodal segment of JB Hunt. This quarter should quickly change their opinion. I own a furniture business and every carrier we use that I have talked to is experiencing a significant slowdown.
Rising fuel costs and a weakening customer demand due to a significant slowdown in the U.S. will seriously crimp JBHT's earnings and projections for a rebound will be pushed off until at least 2010. JBHT has a very high debt load relative to cash and assets and currently trades at over 10 times book value and a very high multiple on earnings.
Sirius and XM Satellite Merger Set for Approval; RBC Lowers Price Targets [View article]
Sirius and XMSR have a combined 2,000 employees. The government is willing to block the merger of these two and forgo 2,000 jobs to hard working Americans and rather send out $500 checks to people once again, further diluting the value of our dollar and increasing the growth of inflation. And they wonder why people all over the country are complaining about what is wrong with this country...
I have to say that this is the worst article I've ever read by any "investment analyst". I'm not invested in MELI but have some respect for yourself.
How about some concrete evidence on why the most recent quarter "totally sucked". How about projecting revenues, earnings, and cash flows out over the next few years and using that to back up your thesis as to why the stock is overvalued.
The argument you make for a "coincidental" similarity between the Gartner chart and the chart of the stock is so ridiculous that if the "totally sucked" line didn't raise some questions to readers as to the validity of you the author, then clearly this would have.
I'd suggest using some stats and research (funny term, research, isn't it?) before posting a self-serving article about MELI (while you don't have a position, are you looking to enter at a lower price?). Have some accountability. Please.
Research In Motion: Price Target Raised Substantially by GMP Research [View article]
nothing like upgrading a stock that has had a huge runup, is trading at an extremely high valuation (see 10 times sales), and that sells a consumer discretionary product in an economy that is slowing significantly due to a financially strapped consumer. i wonder how many retail investors bought on this recommendation.
