  • Can Q2 Decrease In GPU Volume Affect AMD's Top And Bottom Line? [View article]
The bitcoin craze are dying down and miners are dumping cards at a huge rate. This will probably put a dent in new video card sales for AMD.

If you want a good AMD graphics card for dirt cheap head over to ebay and get a R9280x for ~$170. New they start at $270. (I just received 2 that will be used to upgrade my folding@home machine).

  • AMD Looks Finished [View article]
    Here we go again!

I invested in AMD a year ago. I'm up ~40%. INTC in that same time frame is at ~20%. INTC is a one trick pony and will struggle to impress anyone over the next 5 years.

NVDA is the one I will hedge my bet on AMD with.

The market can render cryptocurrency worthless in seconds. Cash and PM is a little harder to devalue overnight.

I'm with JJ on this one!

  • Why I'm Not Selling My Worst Performing REIT Of 2013 [View article]
DLR's risk to tech innovation is limited because DLR supplies the environment and space where a company put the tech it uses.
For instance if Verizon buys Cisco's UCS(universal computing platform) rent space at DLR to host the platform, but after 2 years Verizon decides to invest in AMD's SeaMicro platform, chances are they will host the new platform in the same DLR datacenter. With the added bonus to DLR to collect rent for both platforms until the transition from UCS to SeaMicro is complete.

  • The Latest Push On AMD Seems Invalid [View article]
"...due to a seasonal drop in chip demand for games consoles, the sources said."

If that statement was made in the January/February 2014 time frame it might have hold an ounce of truth but I do not see demand for console dropping before that.

@risendragon: I have the same question. What is happening with rfil? I'm not complaining, rfil is doing me a solid, but would like to know why and if there is still time to add.
