  • Sirius XM Finds New Ways to Fill Its Proverbial Bucket [View article]
The North American Auto industry is made up of Foreign Manufacturers as well as Domestic. The numbers cited in the Article are very close with respect to the lowest monthly sales in 30 years (back in January 1981). The author mitigated the penetration rate increase from last year which will make the urgency of a 1.27M sales rate in September much less.

  • Sirius XM Price Target Raised by Top Media Analyst  [View article]
Warning letter give the company a chance to provide and execute a plan to get the price over a dollar. The response will be within seven days, the execution will take a litte time thereafter. Even the most uneducated investor can understand car sales are on the rise from last quarter. This rise would give to the subscription numbers also being on the rise. The penetration rate at which the Sirius radios are installed has increased this year over last. The raising of the target make perfect sense. The subscription numbers from Auto have become less significant to the over in come thane in the past. The company can now collect royality fees from the customer, and the new iPhone are just two of the sources of income that mitigate the need for Automotive subscription numbers.
The last time this stock fell below $1, the rise from bottom only took 2 1/2 months. This current rise in SP is not a fluke, it has settled at support price points that supports further growth. Expect gains to over $1 by the 3Q CC.

  • Inside Sirius Institutional Ownership [View article]
Price spikes are more than 15% per day ..these changes on the stock price is far from a spike. Recent Short number indicate that this stock is old news when it comes to being the "selected" ticker for shorting. There are plenty of other companies out there that aren't doing as well. With their stock prices being higher the profit margin is obvious. The recent upgrade has placed this stock outside the failing company catagory. Recent financials point to this stock as being flat with good potential for increased income. New Automotive numbers are no longer the mainstay for this company. The rise of the SP is slow at this point in time. Despite encouraging news for the last few month, the SP has been stagnant. Momentum is very difficult to achieve going uphill.

Then again ...you can be like Siri-Doom and throw out the baby with the bath water.

  • The Real Story Behind Sirius Capex and EBITDA  [View article]
Mels Position is not to take the stock to a quick cap and then exit. He honestly wants to leave the Company in SOLID FINANCIAL shape. He does not want to do to Sirius, the same thing Nardelli did to Home Depot. Mel wants to keep the Stockholders and the customers happy. Forbes has a nice article about how the financing went down, and here is an excerpt:

"He had previously put $24 million into open market share purchases at much higher prices and felt that a $30 million exposure on his own money was sufficient incentive for him to make this merger a success.
His focus is on executing on the business plan as it has been since he arrived in 2004 just after Howard Stern signed his agreement with the company. The subscriber tally was 700,000 then, and the stock was selling in August 2004 for $2. It zoomed to $4 and then briefly to $9 after Stern and then Karmazin agreed to join. "

What other company that has been so closley link to Auto Sales has done so well??......
I would be impressed if you could identify any. The cash cow for Sirius was in the Automotive sector. Turning a business model around during normal economic times is difficult, but Mel is managing to achieve the paradigm shift in the worst economic times in 80 years.

Carping about how bad Mel is doing from their keyboard shows how little thought that person gives to how any business is run.
Two out of three domestic Auto giants go into bankruptcy. It would have been easier to follow the same course. Mel took the path least traveled. If you can't keep up with the concepts, stay off the path.

Too many times have I picked up a magazine, or read an article online refering to bad management. The Media thrives on bad news. Leave the gloom and doom to the professionals, they are better at it. And, they don't repeat themselves as much! I welcome opinions of the future prospects. The past actions of Mel, so far, have proven to be correct. Each passing day brings a media giant that will rival Viacom's influence. Mel has the experience!

Don't forget Russsel rebalance has made the way this stock trade different than it has in the past. With Russell index involvement the Volitity was kept in check. All the talking heads are counting on negative subscribers, and with that lower earnings. The new avenues of income available to the company will put adifferent slant on the financials. I believe that new slant will have a different impact on the SP after CC is held, than what you are stating.

I was never kicked off this board, and I doubt that others were not kick off as well. Abuse is the mechanism to have yourself kicked off this sight. Excessive cut/ paste & purpetuating unfounded rumors is probably what got you kicked off. I have read relmor's posts and other that you have claimed to be relmor. I can not see enough similarity in writing to substanciate that remark. I understand fear mongerers like youself have to recite mantras to maintain calm, but posting your mantras is pathetic. Is citing sources of specific information too dificult. I don't always agree with relmor, but I respect his opinion. I can't say the same for you.

That's old news!! Putting things into perspective:
    1) Mel has options to buy at .43, Stock is currently at .39 ...ooops a .04 loss on Mel's part to exercise the but OPTION ( LOOK UP OPTION ON INVESTOPEDIA) So me is tanking stock for what purpose?
    2) He can not buy shares at any time!! it is vested over time. Thant means he has to sustain the performance of the company.
    3) If stock goes to $5 from here, AND MEL BUYS stock, he earned it! wait....let me quote you
"Next time you hear "Oh, but Mel owns stock and also loses", remember how he gets paid."
That's right .....this is incentive cash. This is not an isolated incident, it is a standard when dealing with highly talented management.

  • New Revenue for Sirius Can Come from Creative Places [View article]
    Geeez,
A newly launched satellite means nothing? I will not confuse you with paraphrasing. From the Gunters space page:
    space.skyrocket.de/ind...

"The satellite will be one of the most powerful ever constructed, with end-of-life power capability at more than 20 kilowatts. Sirius FM-5 is based on SS/L's flight proven and reliable LS-1300 platform and will have a specified service life of 15 years. It will carry a range of technologies, including a 9-meter unfurlable reflector, which will allow for highly-concentrated transmissions to small, advanced devices."

So what does the Phrase "highly-concentrated transmissions to small, advanced devices" mean to you? Probably nothing, as you can't see beyond things you can touch, smell, or see. Technology is advancing every day, and for the most part is not realized until later. Many features are ignored by self proclaimed experts on the topic. I am sure FM-5 will bring Sirius users new features over it's 15 year life span.

    OH........
btw there is a SOPHISTICATED tool on the computer that is available to you.....

I agree..but Siri-Doom is the white coated tinfoil-hat wearer. Some of the statements are true , but the one about posting in Dec is not. Check out the number of posts by the individual, and look at all his posts. There are seven posts, as of my posting. Siri-Doom loses credibility with me in the fact that his announcement of Mel's indiscression can not be supported. What comes across is the bitterness of a loss in share price of his stock. Provided he did not sell, he lost nothing. If he did sell, he decided that management can not bring Sirius out of a failing business model. The past three quarters has proven that statement (and thought) to be incorrect. We are coming out of the biggest economic crush since the great depression. This is not my opinion, this is exemplified in TARP & the Auto loans. Sirius has succeded with going Positive EBIDTA despite the economics. Provided that Sirius can continue to be EBIDTA positive into the 2Q, the worst is over. TARP money is being given back, backs are loaning money again. The Automotive companies have resturctured via BK and the economy is moving on. This is more than I can say for Siri-Doom.

  • Sirius XM Extends Itself Globally  [View article]
Foward looking earning can be view on two fronts
    1) iPhone subscriptions. With Hardware free, this is the biggest bang for the company.
    2) Increased saturation rate into Domestic automotive manufacturers, and the signing of more Foreign

The changing global markets and how the company plans to penetrate international markets?
    1) iPhone subscriptions, the minor stumbling block is the RIAA. The RIAA have a greater chance of receiving income from an American based company than a Chinese government supported communist based one overseas. The Chinese love the western influence!

The company plans to address expiring contracts the same way Football, Baseball, Television or any other entertainment company does, by negotiation.

There are far more companies that didn't survive, Worldspace, and XM (AS a standalone) to name two. Sirius won’t be the company to go out of business, because the customers support the business. The customers are supporting the business during the most difficult economic time since the great depression. The iPhone is not the stopping point for Sirius, but with the number of customers it has to offer, a percentage of new subscribers would push the company to be Cash Flow Positive.
