    Points to Ponder
    1) Why would anyone want a company taht has debt at 15% interest..even if it is out a couple of years?

    2) The Market tanked today? Just how much a pop is gonna happen when stocks all around you are spiraling downward?

    sl62-
Remember the Shares loaned out for others to short? Either way, Debt holders had it made. BK (or Near Levels) would bring in funds to cover debt. Debt holders would break out of shares if the went over lent value. This was a win - win for them. The Debt holders MADE their money back well before the 2013/2014 timeframe! So why hang on to the Debt any more..sell for a loss.. (.40 -.50 on the dollar) and use GAAP to bring down profits from stock pprofits for a couple of years or so.

Trimming operations was one of Mel's war crys! The removal of the 4 sats that can sell for 300m - 700m was probably in the works all along. IMHO the book cost of the XM sats EXCEED the Debt.

    Can anyone say garage sale?

It appears that Mel is also in talks with the Russian government!

"A Russian satellite crashed Wednesday into a satellite operated by Iridium Satellite LLC, destroying one node in the global communications firm's orbital network"

Was this a message to Echostar?

I will leave your sattelites alone for 1 BILLION Dollars (Dr. Evil Laugh)!
