The Chinese are building more subway in the crowded cities. This is good for GDP growth and will reduce the reliance on cars and good for the people commuting to work or school.

  • China's Economy: All GDP Is Not Created Equal [View article]
The Chinese GDP growth are of good quality. They are building the world's largest highspeed railway network which the people will use and will reduce the reliance on cars.

I don't see why they need to dig a hole in the ground to fudge up GDP growth, when all they need to do is to build more new schools in the rural areas and train more teachers. Education is something they need and this service can generate more GDP.

How are you going to develop Tibet economically when is it a remote region situated on a plateau? Maybe the dalai lama knows how to turn Tibet into a "New York". China has already built railway and internet equipment in Tibet. Okay, maybe open more Starbucks and Macdonalds and the Tibetans will happily work in those places.
