  • Today May Be Markets' Turning Point [View article]
Nobody thought Kurt Warner was good enough for the NFL and that the Redsox would ever overcome the curse of the Bambino but things aren't always what they seem. We are in a very volatile market, more so than the last three years. Its tug-o-war out there and Metrx, Graphs, and Reasonable Logic does not apply today. Thats just my novice prediction of market outcome until Q3 which is what everyone seems to be gearing up for. I personally don't see a major downside until we get Q3 and Q4 behind us.

  • Why I Sell Put Options (Part I) [View article]
Unless you purchase the stock for the price you are ok with and use covered calls to margin down or lock on a certain profit you can live with. I myself like to use this method of trading.

  • How Stocks Perform After Being Added to the Dow [View article]
I have to agree that AAPL would be best suited as it is one of the many that is not overpriced and the strength of this comany goes all the way back to the pioneering of an industry in this country. Google to me seems a strong but lackluster choice due to its unbalanced portfolio at this point. AAPL seems to always be pulling a rabbit out of their hats and seems more destined to have longevity. My position is none in AAPL.

  • 10 Bullish Option Spread Strategies [View article]
My opinion is that bears should buy these stocks and sell covered calls on them. If they run then you would chase the stock value upward but if they fall a little you buy back to cover and keep the change to pay for the equity. Wait for a run back up and sell some more covered calls. I think the volatility here and the low stock price is the prime time for this play.

APWR is not a solar stock. They are Wind Energy. My call on APWR would be to buy June $12.50 or $15 calls. Earnings will be beaten severely again on June 1 earnings call and i think we see a run to nearly $17. New contracts and the completion of one of the largest Windturbine Manufacturing plants in China with support and Billions in commitment from the Chinese Govt and Superior involvement by GE i think this stock is set to sail to $30-$40 by the end of 2011 if not sooner.

  • Markets Close Up, Not Sure Why [View article]
Are you kidding me. When everyone goes silent and analysts low ball all estimates its bound to temporarily go up. Not understanding why banks are going up though now that they have announced massive Dilution to their stock value and RS most definitely around the corner. How many shares can GM carry? i don't think they will dilute to 15 billion shares without a RS. GE needs to lick its greedy wounds and stick with what has worked for decades and that's innovating new technologies, creating jobs for americans. American Jobs = money for americans to buy appliances etc.(Henry Ford has already proved this to be a fact). Stay away from the quick buck greed and luster of wall st financial's. Has anyone ever heard if its not broke don't fix it? Immelt needs to stick with what GE does or resign.

I almost guarantee you have at least one microsoft program on the computer you are using. Thats why its a "buy". Dont think MSFT will just quit.

  • Did Crony Capitalism Lead to Wachovia's $54B Bailout? [View article]
These bondholders should be bearing some losses like the rest of us at this time. Whats next? Lets bail out all the people who have margin calls at this time so noone can lose. I say let these banks fail and all the people who have purchased beyond there means in the greed filled country we live in get a lesson in spending. This is the most rediculous crap i have ever heard of. Let the weak fall and the stronger rise from the ashes. Still noone is helping the little guy here!

  • Why It's Time to Be Invested in the New Recession [View article]
i am a 38 year old with a decent investment portfolio. i have watched several generations of my family work a regular job and retire with huge returns as the market bounced up and down in and out of small recessions. i will not stop throwning my money into the market especially now if anytime in my life i had a dollar. i think a few of us will be standing at the finish line saying i told you so in a few more years while the rest of our peers will be saying "i should have" or "i would have" or "if only". US history has proven that this is the land of opportunity. invest now or regret it later.
