OH, those rising sea levels Gore warns about? The rise is the thickness of a paper clip.

We need to educate ourselves against this propaganda and spread the facts.

  • 3 Things America Needs to Do to Get the Economy Back on Track [View article]
"America needs to curb its oil imports by encouraging automakers and consumers to make and buy radically more fuel efficient vehicles."

Yes, BUT you need the WHOLE PACKAGE here...INCLUDING drilling at home, and an alternative energy push.

But speaking of fuel efficient cars, Ford has a great one they sell in Europe (and maybe others too) BUT THEY CANNOT SELL IT HERE because of fed. regulations!

  • Terra Nitrogen Vs. Terra Industries [View article]
Someplace I read that that the share division of the dividend was that the stockholder would get the first __dollar amount (?I dont have the figure) and that above that amount parent company, Terra, would get 50 percent of the remaining dividend.

Is this correct? If so then the shareholder recieves more than 50 percent of the dividend because they get the first x dollar amount.

  • Upgrade in Fertilizer Stocks Surpasses Rosey Expectations [View article]
Regarding fertilizer fears about the cost of natural gas...these costs just seem to get passed unto the farmer.

With the high yield hybrids for corn, more N is needed for more bushels per acre...and that is the farmer's goal, more bushels per acre.
What the city guy does not understand is that despite the ups and downs in corn price, all these prices are sky-high for the farmer and will not affect how much fertilizer he buys because the lack of fertilizer lowers his bottom line....one farmer's opinion.
