    I see a flaw that I didn't see accounted for. A 250 MW coal or gas fired power plant produces 250 MW's. A 250 MW solar plant only produces 250 MW when the sun shines just so. If you are comparing the two, it's strickly apples to oranges in favor of solar in the comparison. The solar plant is kaput at night and half kaput in most locations during the days. The others are generally up and running continually producing that power. Much of the costs for solar, gas and coal are fixed. The investment for solar is dead or degraded as far as producing power - most of the time. Not so for the other two.
