What a pretty chart. But it says nothing of interest.

  • Marvel Entertainment Thrives, Posting 75% Increase in Revenue  [View article]
Marvel is a tight ship and a well-run company. The success of Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk have proven Marvel to be a savvy production company that is very particular, and obviously successful, in how they produce, market and sell their products. With a library of over 5,000 characters, my portfolio is strong and long with Marvel.

  • Cramer's Lightning Round - Cramer's a Con [Ed] Man (3/9/09) [View article]
Looking at Cramers' calls for the last few months has provided great amusement. His recommendations have been horrible and have tanked. I'm now listening to him to see which stocks he dislikes, since it seems that those are the ones that are actually going up.

  • Marvel's Superhero Results Can't Prevent a Dramatic Stock Drop [View article]
It's Sept. 15 and the market is going down the tubes, thanks to the Lehmann, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac meltdowns. However, Marvel is doing marvelous, up .32 to $35.11. I love how these dimwit 'analysts' predict. I think that wandering gypsies with crystal balls are actually more accurate. Make Mine Marvel: Buy on the dips; just don't listen to them.

  • Media Giants Report: Some Hit, Some Miss [View article]
With regards to Marvel, I find it profoundly interesting that the 'analysts' were pretty pessimistic about Marvel prior to the release of Iron Man. But they flip-flopped pretty quickly and set Marvel up for a fall with their overly optimistic opinions. But Marvel is known for conservative estimates, an continually exceeds them. I think the 'analysts' need to go back to school and stop trying to be media stars themselves.

  • Summer Movies Projected to Be Recession Proof Again [View article]
I've owned shares of Marvel for a couple of years and have been keenly watching the previews and geek response to them. I ended up trading in my shares of Oracle for Marvel after seeing what looked like a terrific job they'd done on Marvel. Here it is Monday, and I'm pleased as punch that Iron Man blew the lid off of the idiot analysts who thought that Marvel 'didn't have any more good characters....' He who laughs last... and with a healthy profit... laughs best!

  • Oracle’s Next Frontier [View article]
I agree: Buy. Oracle didn't really "miss" on its' earnings; it only "missed" on the analysts' expectations. They've been expecting, and providing, 20% growth year over year. The engine is good; the pundits are bad.
