  • Malaysian Ringgit Under Pressure - Another Crisis? [View article]
They implement GST on the system in Malaysia. I dont think Malaysians were ready to accept such a radical change in their system. I do not see the economy of Malaysia doing well in the short-medium term.

  • Southeast Asia's Crisis: Global Bust Exacerbating Structural Tensions [View article]
I live in Singapore and often visit the countries you mentioned. Thailand and Malaysia are having some problems but countries like myanmar are doing really really well.

It really is booming in myanmar, and their culture and laws complement business in a way such as petty thefts are non-existant *you face HARSH punishment if you get caught*

  • Warren Buffett And Time-Horizon Arbitrage [View article]
Haha, because they are money managers they market themselves as 'businessmen' and not investors hence the people who give them the money expect returns as if you run a business. They demand high ROE and no risk as pitched to them.

This happens due to the cutthroat environment created by the insanely high yields brought forth by the earlier money managers forcing them to promise 'more and more' to their clients resulting in this current landscape.

  • Herbalife Could Damn Well Be The Next MBIA [View article]
I dont like Herbalife and i agree with Ackman, but his large mouth brought in many enemies who will/might keep herbalife going strong so i think it is a bad time to do anything with herbalife. I will only short it in a couple of months maybe when the news die down and people forget about it

  • Why Price/Earnings Multiples Can Mislead Investors [View article]
Hello, thank you for posting something as insightful as this.

However, may i ask why do telecomm stocks are better gauged with price/cash flow. I can sort of understand the rationale you use for cyclicals and the gas MLP companies but why does telecomm companies require such metrics? is it because of the leverage it has??

  • Why Are Gold And The Dollar Both Falling? [View article]
i thought the reason was that gold owners were worried ever since cyprus?? (not confirmed not sure which country) dumped their gold reserves to pay off debt. honestly if every country did that the country wouldn't be worse off and gold would have no value except maybe to china and india who values gold due to tradition.

although the tanking in prices would lead to a surge of demand as many people in this world still value gold, just maybe not governments and hence lesser demand?

still this is all just theory i dont have anything to back it up kinda like posts in the wind lol
