  • Why Whiting USA Trust I's 110% Yield Is Too Good To Be True [View article]
    The Trustee mentioned May/early June will be probably the final distribution some weeks ago. Not sure if this time frame for the last distribution is now still accurate. Could u please ask Mr. Ulrich and report his answer here (he doesn`t reply to my emails any more. Maybe he is a litte bit stressed about my mails;)
    Thanks

  • Whiting Trust I: Fair Value Is Under $0.74; Will Fall To $0 By March [View article]
    @Profit

    You are right, sorry. I underestimated the impact of the decline in oil price which will hit WHX extremely in Q4.

    Thanks for pointing this out. I feel now much more comfortable with my short position.

    A current short rebate rate of 200% p.a. is still an arbitrage for shorts (if it doesn`t increase further). Can anybody predict future short rebate rates of WHX? Is it likely to drop or to increase further? Thanks

    @Profit Propositions

    They produce around 0.25 MMBOE per quarter. There are 0.35 MMBOE left. So how do u come up with 35 cents remaining in distributions? U assume that the oil price crashes another 50% to around $40/barrel?

    I think the 70 cents fair value estimate is quite accurate if u calculate with current oil and gas prices.

    "I haven't even weighed in on whether or not these are smart acquisitions".

    Well, it seems u should have done some research before u print some toilet paper. Just my opinion.

    No mention of Showself and Yipai and all the other acquisitions in this article. Why is that?

    Its all about future prospects and long term profitability. Not about 2012 nostalgia.

    If u want dividends near term, invest somewhere else.

  • NQ Mobile Filing Suggests 20-F May Not Be So Imminent [View article]
    The timeframe is exactly 6 months for the additional interest. So a year divided by 2. Round figures. I see no problem with that.

    NQ's management believes it could take until January 2015? Have u spoken with them? Source? How do u come to this conclusion?

  • NQ Mobile: Despite 20-F Filing Hype, Nothing Has Changed [View article]
    Nothing has changed. Deloitte & Co found, after an extensive forensic intrusive investigation, that NQ's revenues were in fact accurate as publicly reported by NQ. So really nothing new here.

    In regard to the missing information on many devices the Investigation Team stated explicitely that "these findings, however, do not reflect fraud".

    So they examined millions of unique documents and finally come to the conclusion that there is no reflection of fraud? How is this possible?
