    Couple of things.

    First, I don't know when you wrote this, but BUD closed at 56.93 Friday after dropping briefly below 55 in the morning swoon. No idea what the options pricing did.

    A more conservative (but still quite profitable) play is to just buy stock and puts.

    Yes, the U.S. is on sale. Just as Canada was on sale a decade ago, just as Europe was on sale in the mid-80s. What does this mean for us? We should follow InBev's lead and have more of our investments in U.S. companies and less in foreign companies. The upside probability for the dollar is greater than the downside.

    Regarding Lehman: if Callan did in fact have the company in the market diminishing its capital through stock repurchasing in the $33 range, she deserved to be dismissed. Is she was just "carrying water" for the honchos, then she wasn't really a CFO anyway, and needed to be dismissed.
