YES Canada has some great banks, etc. BUT ... as I recall, Canada withholds 15% of your dividends for taxes. Is that correct? If so, when coupled with Federal and State tax on dividends, why invest in Canada?
PapaAlan

Not sure about bonds, however I agree with your comment on EXC, Exelon Corp. According to my analysis, I expect the price to have about a 20% increase over the next 6 to 12 months to bring it into agreement with the multiples applied to other utilities. Buy EXC.
PapaAlan

This is an excellent article. I have already moved a significant part of my portfolio to cash, not just puts. And, especially cashed out the mREITs because they depend on short term interest rate stability. The overall problem is that a minority in congress, who cannot get their way via a rational compromise with those who hold different views, are holding the government ... and, we investors ... in hostage to their belief system. Too bad, so sad. I don't like this trend towards creation of power for "wing nuts" by destructive political tactics.

What is unique here is the presentation. We all know to watch dividend, yield, and growth rates. Now, how about a three dimensional presentation? Yield (which changes constantly); div growth rate; versus a "New Factor." By using multi-variable correlation analysis, I have found that four factors correlate most strongly with stock price (for certain categories of dividend stocks): Book Value; Cash Flow/share; Dividend/Share; and Earings/share. Because we all want stocks which not only grow their dividends, but also their price, the 3D New Factor might be either Cash Flow or Eanings Growth rate.
Anyone care to try to make such a chart?
