Of course it doesn't seem to be a big problem because nobody died. Research further these "recalled" inspections that the airlines have made. If you check them out - you will find that the maintenance initially was done by vendors. A lot of maintenance has gone out to vendors to save money. There is a lot of sloppy work going out there because the airlines don't have direct oversight anymore. When we have the next crash it will be because of sloppy maintenance that won't be the fault of the vendor because they followed "procedures".
