Jon Carnes (AL) WAS an ACCOUNTANT at Deloitt?

What does this say about his understanding of ore grades?

Jon, why not just admit you don't know anything about the type of dirt you're talking about?

Go find some dirt you can describe, mmmk?

  • Will India Stop Buying Gold? [View article]
"they have started accepting 14 carat gold in order to make it more pocketbook friendly."

What's going on here, would that be CARAT, as in gemstone terminology, or KARAT, as in precious metals terminology?

Anyway, it appears times are growing tougher in India, considering they're now forced to lower their standards by buying lower content accouterments. What's next, plated plastic substrate no doubt.

Didn't the CFTC just announce they weren't going to enforce any position limits on commodities futures markets? What are the ramifications?

I guess global governments need to obtain precious metals reserves in order to back their currencies in the future, thus while doing this, they should conspire to manipulate prices down as much as possible?

  • Get Ready For The Green Light, Part I [View article]
Were all these bears short the entire 25+ years while the debt was building and trade deficit was growing?

We're essentially talking about the value of paper money here, as opposed to a massive loss of economic vitality and the ability to create wealth, right?

I say those who don't comprehend the mechanisms and the purpose of those mechanisms, are about to take a major haircut.

I could give a rat's butt about how much oil a pile of paper can buy, it's the availability of oil that enables wealth creation. A total economic shutdown wouldn't make more oil available, there would be less, and even fewer jobs. So learn to conserve and create more wealth using less, your life will most certainly be different if the wheels of the economy were to again stop turning.

  • How To Play Silvercorp Now That The Short Sellers Are Covering [View article]
"Jack seemed to plant an awful lot of magic stalks and they are all in China."

You need to wake up Waldo, a company in China can hire forty employees for every 1 in the US, that's a huge advantage(among a host) you conveniently dismiss in your campaign of spin.

If your investment club has proof of fraud, you certainly haven't proved it conclusively, just allegations so far, like trying to claim stone collected from the road side is representative of the ore excavated from the mines.

No proof provided of wrong doing, just highly publicised allegations and innuendos.

Your club appears exceedingly disingenuous and misleading in your allegations concerning Silvercorp.

  • How To Play Silvercorp Now That The Short Sellers Are Covering [View article]
"AL had sent a letter to subscribers showing how through their studies, the purity of Silvercorp's ore is much less than was stated by the company."

I suppose you neglected to renew your subscription?

Sounds like front-running, is that an illegal practice?

So I was wondering about how so many people seemed to be involved in this practice of front-running their trades, and I found an article explaining how to perform DD on these companies with Chinese operations:

    http://bit.ly/mUwEDf

So I'm trying to understand the investing sequence here, does it involve first doing research, then taking a position, and following that step, publishing a scathing set of unverifyable/misleading allegations? Which part of this sequence takes precidence, seems the first step is assigned the lowest priority in terms of complete honesty.

Hmm, do professional analysts follow that same protocal, many times I see they they don't appear to be front-running their articles, or they don't admit they are ("I may take a position within 72 hours") which I suppose doesn't guarantee someone isn't. Are analysts well paid? Perhaps this all depends on who is paying their salaries? Anyway, this whole front-running business you seem to be glorifying has a distinct odor of dishonesty about it.

Don't you agree it seems quite irresponsible on the surface (To publish a scathing article with full-court accusations based on third-party information)? Not that I would, but where does one sign up to play sherriff in this wild-west show?.

  • GeoTeam Corroborates AlfredLittle.com Findings On Harbin And Deer [View article]
" We too were informed by some of the same government officials that the prices paid for land by HRBN and DEER were much less than what land use rights sell for (as set by relevant government agencies) in Xi’an and Anhui, respectively."

Umm, so what you're saying is, the figures you've chosen to base your newest defamation on, are discounted figures, and may not reflect the actual price paid?

Sheesh guys, anybody can say anything these days so have at it why don't you?

BTW - My crystal ball indicates SA readership is dropping off a cliff due to so much incorrect and misleading material infiltration.

This guy claims he went to college with Carson Block, I didn't know Carson had attended College, I wouldn't have guessed that:

"In January, I toured Orient Paper and produced a video (see below) of the facilities. I liked the company and owned the stock. To my surprise, there were two other Americans present, and to my even greater surprise they happened to be former classmates of mine from the University of Southern California. They are Carson Block and Sean Regan of Muddy Waters Research."
