  • King Henry Paulson's Personal Fiefdom [View article]
Paulson has been the very best Treasury Secretary money can buy! It's really a shame Congress doesn't understand, or perhaps we've also got the very best Congress money can buy?

It's all so very, very sickening.

  • Why Are Investors Returning to the Dollar? [View article]
Great article, precisely the same conclusions I have drawn. Keep up the good work and don't get too close to those politicians as to have something rub off. We have the best politicians, media, lobbyists, economists, analysts, bankers, brokers, and salesmen money can buy.

  • IAU: Gold Regains Momentum After Recent Slump [View article]
Good article, thank you. Obviously you don't believe gold was overbought as a hedge to the coming financial crisis. I guess we'll find out by end of Nov, if the COMEX doesn't blow up. Meanwhile this deflationary period has me on pins and needles. While it's good to see some restraint on printing and raising taxes, lower rates seemed to manifest a housing inflation bubble.

    Cheers!

  • UBS Lowers Gold Expectations Again [View article]
Hey, where's that $250 oil GS was forecasting? I think my time machine needs a replacement flux capacitor. Okay, I'll sell my gold now that it's price has fallen off a cliff and taken such a large chunk out of my life savings. Good thing I won't be needing that money after all since post-bailout deflation will bring me back up to par.

Bob55 - Short selling does not cause stock prices to fall unless they are overpriced to begin with. If anything, it keeps them from falling quickly and causes them to increase rapidly because short selling is done with intent of later purchasing the financial instrument at a lower price. The bone of contention lies with naked short selling when the underlying shares aren't delivered, known as illegal naked shorting.

Well, I think we've seen the low. Now the FED won't sell coins due to a lame excuse and the FED deficit is 2x in one month... The intervention runs rampant. Okay, I'm ready for the trip north!!!

I'm not going to accept the FED's crapping all over whatever and where ever they want, just like I don't allow my dog to crap in the house. It's obvious these PhD's don't even have instinct enough not to crap in their own dinner plates, cause that's what they're doing.

Come on Ben and Hank.LLC, there's too many of us who know what's going on, you'll really screw things up if you keep playing these games with such a weak hand. Get those coins minted and make them available.

  • More on the Fannie/Freddie Heist [View article]
I agree with stockpicks, this is privitization of wealth and socilization of debt. But then what should we expect when free trade is corrupt with broker-dealer (sell side) nondisclosure? How about the upstairs trading that goes on that unless you work for humungus bank & broker, you cannot participate in? Let them go bankrupt, we dont need them. I pray!

davemcc3300 - When was the last time an independent (or any) inventory audit of US gold reserves was accomplished? How are we to know if the US gov. actually has an appreciable amount in possession? I'm not claiming they don't have reserves but I wonder about this occasionally, don't you?

Ics - "GLD is just inverse the USD. Bill noticed that USD reversed yesterday and made the post this morning."

Read Bill's back posts for the last 4 months and you'll find that you're kinda half right... Otherwise, if you don't you're bound to miss out on the next important move...

Some folks don't understand why Bill does what he does for the same reason they will never understand how he does what he does. Bill is not telling you what or when to do something, he is trying to get you to think for yourselves and he's sharing his perspective on how to accomplish that. All for free, on his own dime.

You should be thanking him for this.
