Bhaumik- You can buy Brazilian ADRS (american depository reciepts) - these are Brazilian stocks traded on the US exchanges- On the other post that I've seen you on- I listed all of my Brazilian ADR holdings- check that out.

For more research go to stocksabroad.com (and click latin american adrs, then click 'brazilian adrs' it lists them all)

An easy way to play the odds is EWZ - its the brazilian I Shares ETF- the only problem with EWZ is its top heavy on oil and commodities- which may come down this year. But if you like individual stocks the ADRs are the way to go.

Remember these are long term plays.......but I have 100% faith in Brazil- their market is the #1 performing market over the last 6 months of the top 10 countries in the world.

Harry- I wouldn't be shorthing the nasdaq at this point- oil long term looks good- but if you want a solid long term play take a look at brazilian stocks - i'm in a bunch of them and brazil is the best performing major market over the last 6 months (and that says a lot)- and he who owns food/metals/oil is in control in the new era- and Brazil is the only top 10 country that not only has all but is a net exporter of all............trust me- brazil is where its at-

Golfore- The big gains are starting to slow down now- there has been a very big run-up already. But if you are long term- now is a good time to add to your position- Friday is a good example of buying on a pullback...I think V will hit 100 in two quarters max (and possibly w/in this quarter- ) If you are buying long term and don't intend of selling - continue to add on dips. Just manage your expectations- and be patient. I THINK V will hit 100 soon- 200 by mid next year and 250/300 by the time we hit 2010

Jake- you asked me to check out CRH- and I don't find it a growth play. Europe is in the midst of an econ slowdown - that will probably drag on beyond our own as there is a delayed effect taking place in Europe. Regardless of a few well-run cos in Europe I generally steer clear of Euro cos- as it is very hard to find the kind of growth plays I see in our country or in Brazil (my favorite emerging market where I hold about 20 positions)- especially in the construction industry.

Something new- Brazil blew up today- the bovespa was up 6%

Check out what the stocks did today- an easy way to play this market is EWZ (and ETF of all the major players)

I've been in Brazilian stocks for a couple of years. My wife is Brazilian and I spent a lot of time in South America- and can tell you their market has a lot more upside than China - India - or Russia- this year.......

SandP upgraded Brazil to investment grade today- this was HUGE- watch this market closely and you will see that Brazil has a long way to go this year--

    Of major exchanges this year:

    US is number 1

    Brazil number 2-

As far as V- we are moving out of dating mode and into girlfriend mode- we are not yet in marriage mode - but a lot of the intrigue is over. We have 17$ to go (till 100$) - and I expect that within 3 months- (although it could actually happen sooner- as V seems to be doing a mastercard- even though the PE is much higher)- I love V- I made more money TODAY than most people make in a year- and am going to continue to trade and own shares- but money needs to keep moving - and I'm playing Brazil....

Jadns- I put my wife in IPI- and she still owns shares (I bought the IPO- but sold the next day) IPI also mines langenbite..... Unlike some ag etf- they are a miner- check out my post on IPI- and the big deal with IPI is the same reason that Copper is still the best metal on the market for 2008-----CHINA- China has less than 5% of the world's potash- yet consumes 25% of the world's potash-- that is it.........

    Next stop for V 100$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

    Options market exploding...........

Visa (V) – A 2.4% gain for its shares to $82.79 appears to have jump-started the speculative appetites of call traders in Visa. With nearly 130,000 options trading by noon, more than 4 times as many calls are trading as puts, and these at the out-of-the-money strikes we observed prior to its earnings announcement earlier this week. Two-way traffic is occurring at strikes of 85 and 90, while the 95 call strike attracted plenty of buyers at $1.05. Can Visa hit $100 in May? Traders have bet on that possibility more than 3,700 times today even though the 20-cent price of that position reflects just a 6% probability of it actually coming true.

V closing at 80.88 today great news- taking market share from Mastercard : PRICELESS

Biggest trading day ever 42million + shares traded today eclipsing the previous records (only 3 -25mm + days)

Wake up people the institutional money is buying.

There will be a correction this week (expect a 3 maybe 4 dollar drop)- scared money taking meager profits back to the hut.

Use that as your last pre-100 entry point-

V is leaving the station folks- next stop 3digitville :-)

Correction - scared money (post-ipo INSTITUTIONAL ownership is less than 5%) - the only 25billion dollar publicly traded company on wall street in that position today. That alone is HUGE

Planinseeds- I hear your pessimism- but it is unfounded.

I'm not going to insult you because you are offering a valid point- and you are partly right.

The stock will correct- small money runs scared.

Don't take my word for it- go to V's corporate site. Listen to the conference call from yesterday and look at the slideshow.

They can't be as confident as they want to be - but let me tell you this stock will be $100 by the end of the year (we only have another 20+$ to go). This stock will be 200$ by the end of next year.

I would be YOUR life on it :-)

Everyone has been saying the stock would take a nose dive, and guess what? It hit another all-time high today.

V has a much brighter future than played out commodities, tech cos producing things we don't need, or debt-laden financials. Once this company gets past litigation (which is minimal if you compare it to a co like Walmart or Altria)- this is a nitro fueled rocket.

I have been to over 20 developing countries in the last 5 years and can tell you that when the global economy corrects- V will be burning so bright you will need to wear shades.....

Keep doubting and PLEASE sell your shares- I want more.

Spud racer- scared money will exit the stock as small money is happy with a 2/3$ bump.

Look to the next dip as an entry point.

Trust me - what people on this post are forgetting is that post-ipo ownership is less than 5%!

That will change soon- as institutional money scoops up the float. Fund money will hold this stock leaving much less to speculate with.

The dollar is coming back strong right now- and the fed will stop cutting rates after tomorrow. A lot of money will fall back into equities and it will follow quality. The average investor will not pay 270$ a share for MA as they see the stock as played out. V is still fresh and has 50$ in it by the end of the year.

Look back to all my posts since its ipo on seeking alpha- I have been right 100% of the time and was ecstatic when I saw the shares down today by 5% in pre-trading.

Look for short term money to cash out their meager profits this week- see a 2 to 4$ move and JUMP

One more thing- Europe is on a different path (for now)- but once litigation/regulatory isssues are settled -Euro will come back into the fold- and the Euro market is a fairly small comparitively. Also- and I hate to rain on the MA parade- but V will start capturing a larger percentage of the foriegn market going forward.

I still think Mastercard (MA) is a BUY

Scorpion Clone- I would recommend more V- if you can buy in pre-traiding (now) - I would do so. V will come back from the MA news, because of its own great earnings report, and from new and stronger buyers- Good Luck
