  • 10 Dividend Stocks for Enterprising Investors [View article]
Unlike Pfizer, which remains the number one global drug company, mismanaged DuPont has slid from number one to eight in revenues amongst chemical enterprises in ten years! This relentless decline, for which recent quarters show no signs of abatement, will continue to put pressure on the Company's rich yearly dividend of $1.64 a share, in my opinion. Lost sales, lost customers, lost talent and ideas do not create cash flow with vigour.

Merely the observation of one retail investor...funfun..

  • Gone Nowhere in 8 Years [View article]
Driven by stunningly incompetent and unethical Management, DuPont has gone rigourously nowhere for more than 11 years. DD has plummeted from a peak in the mid-eighties in May 1998 to 31 and change, Friday, Sept.11, 2009 on much fewer outstanding shares. The total market value of the much shrunken DuPont has collapsed from $110 billion to $29 billion today. ...funfun..

  • U.S. Needs a Structured Approach to Its Industrial Sector [View article]
Dow Agricultural Sciences reporting this week showed a robust increase in volume of 10% during Q1 2009. In embarrassing contrast, the lumbering DuPont AG & NUT "platform", which comprises the ponderous Pioneer bureaucracy could eke out only an anemic 1% increase in volume, year over year, competing in the same market conditions.

While Dow Chemical has steadily grown over the past decade, and is now the number two chemical company worldwide, after BASF, the shrunken DuPont Company driven by bad management has plummeted all the way from number one to number nine in revenues! Such a sickening descent. ...funfun..

  • U.S. Needs a Structured Approach to Its Industrial Sector [View article]
DuPont is manifesting severe systemic weakness throughout, the consequence of years of mediocre Management and missed opportunities. In the Q1 2009 CC, April 21, 2009, CEO Ellen Kullman pretended her ag platform "delivered strong growth".

FACT: Her lumbering DuPont AG & NUT segment showed only sickly "growth" of sales of only 1% by volume!

Her much touted crown jewel, the DuPont AG & NUT bureaucracy lags embarrassingly behind the bio-ag industry leader, superior-managed Monsanto. ...funfun..

  • Now Is the Right Time for a DRIP [View article]
Dow Chemical is a good long-term candidate for patient DRIP fans. Dow is well managed, growing, and now twice as large as its much shrunken and weakened chemical rival, the DuPont Company. ...funfun..

  • Cramer's Mad Money - Who Wants Dupont? (12/18/08) [View article]
DuPont has been in a dramatic freefall for over a decade. The same bumbling marginal Management remains intractably embedded, and offers little hope for reversal.

What Management seldom mentions publicly: a looming BIG BLACK HOLE of disappearing earnings. Circa $1 billion in yearly Pharma PTOI will soon begin to vanish with the sure and certain expiration of two DuPont drug patents, Cozaar & Hyzaar, the only assets left in DuPont's faded and phased-out pharma business! ...funfun..
