Too big; most content free online cost $$$ on Kindle; too costly (almost $500!!!), only greyscale; even pdf's cost money to convert and load to your Kindle.
See Mossberg's review.
I'm sticking with my MacBook Air, which does a lot more and I have the Kindle App on my iPhone if I really need it.
If you're old enough to have kids, you probably can not hear the difference!
PS: If you knew what you were talking about, you would realize that AAC is better than MP3.

I'll take a Netbook over the Kindle any day. Why pay to read RSS feeds, newspapers, etc when you can do it for free.
Actually, I have a MacBook Air (only $999 in the Apple Refurb store) that works great for pdfs, RSS, web browsing, eBooks. Plus, I have WiFi connectivity (available almost everywhere) and G3 (ATT) tethering with my cell phone.

Who wants to buy this thing for almost $400 when you can get a netbook for the same price. Even the MacBook Air is a better option, albeit at $999 refurbished.
Amazon Will Stumble, Just Like Every Other Retail Company [View article]
One issue with Amazon: They are relying more and more on third party vendors, with the end result of increased shipping charges and bogus merchandise. For example, I wanted to buy a compact flash card but the ones I found were only being sold by third parties. In reading the feedback, it was clear that these vendors were selling bogus (? Chinese look-alike) cards. Ended up buying at BHPhoto!

Big negative - K2 does not have SD support like the K1.
Is it true that Amazon charges one to convert files to pdf format?
