The Xbox costs the same as the PS3 once you add the WiFi, rechargable controller, monitor cable and cost for online play. Sony, unfortunately I guess, puts it all up front.

With iTunes selling songs without DRM, I really don't see people going to a subscription model. If you want a 'subscription' just use Pandora or similar service. Works great on the iPhone or computer and it is free (so why pay Microsoft).

The Facebook application on the iPhone works great. No need for a netbook or laptop (and the iPhone is a computer with much more power than the Lunar Landing module to boot!)
